Debating whether to go do a casual loop of Castle hot springs road this weekend, or go up to Bearizona. Been meaning to go there since I moved here in 2017, probably should get my ass in gear.

Check for coupons for Bearizona. Can be pricey. Its a half day or morning thing. It would be dirty, then could go back way to back to Jerome, Cottonwood. Or Loop up through GC south rim

Bearizona is rad and would be cool to go see it while there is snow on the ground.
My wife met the owner at her work and he gave us the behind the scenes tour

Edit but if you decide on Castle springs I'm running out to China dam/ft tule homestead with some friends Saturday

I've been chasing a sound in the front of the truck for several weeks. Thought for certain I had narrowed it down to my winch shackle having some slight movement against the fairlead. Well due to snow and time I dropped it off the other day for a service, turns out the damned UCA was loose on the passenger side

Patrick must like you guys! I was looking at their horizontal awhile back. That 5 axis is a nice looking machine.

I think my brain is too distractable. The second monitor just hasn't been that effective for me. I like the one thing up on the screen, focus and work through it. Alt-tab and ctrl-esc are my friends! The new kids fad in engineering is the super widescreen 32" curved jobbies. I'll stick with my 24, although the 27 I have at home is starting to be desirable...

I have 5 monitors, 2 laptops, and a surface tablet all setup on one keyboard/mouse.

I don't know how people work with one screen.

Hahaha. He's here often.. that's for sure. The Doosan DVF has been pretty... Ok. It's been having some weird tracking issues. The new Hwacheon should be TITS! We just had it lasered too.

I use my 2 screens constantly when programming.. I even need a 3rd honestly. Would be nice to have a pdf/print up at the same time as Mastercam (which I have spread across the 2 screens). I either have a paper print or just toggle back and forth if needed.

Ha, same! I'm constantly in two things at once, working on one while referencing the other, and it's just such a pain in the ass with only one screen. Whatever works though, different strokes and all.

x2 Bearizona is pretty cool. My kids love it and I should probably buy the yearly membership thing.

If you can, get there when it first opens, it is a lot more enjoyable without the crowds
(though it is fun watching people violate the only posted rules of keeping your windows up and stay in your car)

There won't be any issues with the snow at this point right? Some of these valley folk seem to think Flag is just perpetually snowed in. I'm think a week + since the last snow is more than enough for the roads not to be screwed.

I was planning on trying to get there around 10 ish. I do wanna do the otter feeding. Mainly there for the wolves and foxes. I love wolves, I got to interact with them at a sanctuary once, they are big (violent) lovers but you play by their rules.

I have laptop screen and 2 extra above (side-by-side). VSCode full HDMI (with screen split inside the application into 5 vertical tabs of 6 across each), HDMI 24 in for Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, main screen for things that look reasonable in confined spaces. If there were more connections on the laptop I might have tried for another external but the graphics card loses the cursor too many times in a day moving everywhere as is.

911 operators have 3 27 in monitors going all of the time with different "dispatch information" windows filling all 3 monitors ... unit availability, unit detail status for the call they are in, more aspects of the county/city emergency services units than you can imagine.

One of these was purpose built to handle any type of surface, ensuring the protection of its occupants while maintaining their relative comfort in a wide variety of climates, and to dominate the off pavement terrain. It was built to be reliable, tough, and dependable. Its presence is immediately noticed, and its capabilities are ever apparent.

And the other one? The other one is a tank.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.

Be sure to save that for next year's calendar. That has May, July, September, or November written all over it. lol

Seconding the "where is this at?"

Did a search for M60s on display in Arizona and I couldn't turn anything up. I know by the Pima Air & Space in Tucson there's one with ERA applique armor on it (they're building an armored vehicle museum there soonish) but this looks like an unmodified M60A1 of some sort.

This was outside of the VFW on Highway 95, just northeast of Yuma, AZ, almost due north of Fortuna Foothills.

I figured it was by a VFW. M60's tend to show up outside of 'em. :)

I'll have to make a stop when I go out to the dunes/ glamis area.

Its a whole static thing, there's over a dozen displays, plus if you pop on the "base" they have a static display of the land train
