This is the only thread on TW that I follow. I follow several on a Physics forum but that is because I am not smart enough to even comment there. I don't do math or engineering forums anymore because A) Math does not change and B).
Surprisingly, I strongly don't belong to any woodworker forums or follow any woodworker threads. Why? Because sooner or later, "my saw is more expensive than your saw" arguments will happen. In addition, it seems like most "woodworkers" just build things for their shops and to hold tools. They never build things for people or they build a bunch of one, boring thing.
I think some of them started with a circular saw and a hammer and nails, and had a big empty shop. So, the first project was to build a shelf and box for their hammer and saw. Then, they bought more tools and had to build more shelves and boxes. Then, they bought big tools so they had to build tables and stands for them. Then they bought even more tools.... see the cycle? That is not woodworking. That is just tool collecting.

You're always welcome on my thread. I build stuff for people. Granted I'm still new and I don't know how to do a bunch of stuff, but I tend not to do the same thing twice.

Someone needs to buy a pumpkin, remove and save ALL the seeds... then determine how many pumpkins you get from those seeds.

We have new buildings and major renovations starting this spring as the higher-ups want cameras put up again.

Two of them are straightforward enough. One of them is more difficult. We can either

    1) Hope that the general contractor is alright with us using their internet connection to run our camera.

    2) Put the camera on our closest building (about 1/4 mile away) and not be able to Zoom in enough for a decent picture.

    3) Spend the $160 for a new lens for the camera so we can zoom in more for a better image.
