Good Morning Everyone Have a Great Day!

I'm looking forward to a cup of coffee, I forgot I was out yesterday morning.
    Tea isn't the same.

Happy Friday for those of you that are still working.

WOW! I’m exhausted just reading this!

Kettlebell day for me. Then since it’s another gloomy cloudy possibly snow day, I’ll hide in my man-cave and do some old fashioned 30-06 reloading. Finished prepping about 150 cases last night. Trying to work up some good elk/deer/antelope loads for a Kimber Montana I picked up to use as my mountain rifle.

Everyone have a great day out there and keep busy!

Yeeeeaaaahhhh….no tea. No can do as a substitute for coffee. I tried several times.
For me it is on ice, sweet, and in a tall glass served with corn bread.

I’ll figure out the multi quote one of these days. never fired a 30-06. Would love to. Also only familiar with Kimber hand guns. They had a 1911 that was beautiful but spendy , that caught my eye. One day…

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Going to give pickleball a try this morning - wife has been playing a couple of months, and I can play with a beginners group. So....

Only laid 2 bags of mulch yesterday, and totally ran out of steam....

That didn't work out well. Stuck a shoe, fell, and killed my ribs warming up...:anonymous:

    Was that the pickle ball?
Looks like fun but it takes coordination, I'd Been there, on the ground to many times. I like hiking and smooth operating machines. Not running and planting my feet. The last chest x-ray I had said, looks like healed chronic rib fractures.:rofl:I've had 5 in the last 6 years and a couple before that, ice has gotten me on all but 2, I think I've fractured them 7xs.

Pickleball is kind of like tennis for old people. I played a couple times. Thought I was 18 again. Muscles weren’t use to it. The next day every part of my body hurt, I didn’t feel 18 any longer. I’m pretty much done with pickle ball and similar activities.
I ride a stationary bike, walk, workout with weights and punch a heavy punching bag but running around on a court (pickleball, tennis, basketball) I’ll leave to the younger oldsters under 65. :)

:anonymous: I never wear these shoes. I just hit a serve to try that, and was WALKING. Turned, but my shoe did not. I stuck like superglue!

I got to hit a ball 3 times..... so much for doing the mulch when I got home! Used to "first day soreness" - when I'm lucky enough to get in a golf game, first day of harder yard work or building, etc. I just broke myself is all.

I just saw a news piece this week talking about the surge in injuries resulting from the Pickle Ball trend....especially in us older folks.

And, good morning fellow Porchatonians!!! It's snowing here - guessing we'll end up with 2 to 3" by the time it's finished.

~4" snow on the ground. I'll clean the deck, driveway, walkways, approach. The rest can melt, or not. Plows were out last night after the snow stopped. Rare to hear them out at night. More people moving here from expensive big city living means more petty complaints, I'm sure. On the plus side, property values are up. Looks good on paper but can't eat it. I suppose it's good, if you're looking to sell, and not buy another. Couple new homes under construction already this spring. Sometimes, new homes get built, then sold immediately, and the people move back to the city. Didn't think it through? Don't like the long work drive? What's 4WD? IDK. Expensive.

Good morning all. Going to have a couple of days of rain here in sunny Florida. Frankly I could use the downtime. Been working 5 to 5 this past week trying to keep up with projects at work and then continuing the attic clean out in the evening. Been slow going, stuff has been in boxes so long the cardboard disintegrates when I try to move it and we’re finding a lot of stuff thats getting tossed in the trash, so much so I’m out of room to store it until trash day. And then there were all the “important papers” accumulated over the years most of which went in the to-be-shredded box which is about 20 lbs and growing. I found all the purchase paperwork for the ‘86 Toyota pickup that I bought used in 1988. I still miss that truck. We did find a few treasures amongst the trash and junk like these teacup triplets that we bought in a consignment store around 1986-ish. They’re all German porcelain from the 50’s except the blue and white Japanese pieces that some google research showed are bone china, likely from the 1920’s. We’re going to repack them and give them to my wife’s nephew (the one who didn’t know what the manual window cranks in my truck were for) and he can figure out what to do with them.

Good morning. Heavy snow dusting last night. Did not stick to the roads so it is off to the gym in 10 minutes. I think we are going to a winery tonight for music and wine. I have a few piddly jobs to do around the home today. Cooked up some ribs yesterday and they came out great. I rolled the trimmings into a roll and will slice it for a sandwich today at lunch. 20240216_142450.jpg
