Somebody must have had some nice wheels on it. Then replaced them with some cheap steels from a Tundra

Maybe. I wanna get away from truck beds tho. They’re a good way to get your stuff soaked or stolen, and it was really uncomfortable and awkward to sleep in the back. It’s good for moving furniture though.

I don’t know what you’re talking about here. Hope I’m not the only one.

Get an LC if you love to work on trucks. You'll spend all of your time working on it.

I can appreciate all the room the 80 series engine bay had to offer

I don't know what the answer is. If you're short on budget and want a wagon body then an old Cruiser or a GX solves your troubles but you can't be too picky because they're $$ and gonna need work. Even an XJ or an FJC or a 1st gen Tundra with a shell (certainly big enough to sleep in) would work. Shit, you can sleep in a 1st gen with a shell and a mattress if thats all you're after.

    Or a Sienna.

Many can be had for less than a clean GX, and have two powertrains to choose from

Can't have warranty if you're spending very little on something

I mean, I'm sure some 3rd party "mechanical protection plan" would love to take that on for some crazy terms and then deny everything lol

    Counter argument

High mileage vehicles (if cared for) would be running a lot of newer parts since they've been replaced based on wear/tear/mileage

Could have many newer parts than a 100k to 200k vehicle

How many times does the newbie come in saying "WHAT LBJS, I GOT 220K MILES AND DON'T THINK THEY BEEN REPLACED" meanwhile ignoring the broken original leaf pack

What the shit do I know  I'm the kinda dummy that's going to end up with three cars.
Do your thing @Ozark_RegCab Buy a cheap old leaky squeaky Land Cruiser. Live your dreams man. Hell, if you start a YT vlog following all the work you're going to end up doing to it, you could subsidize the initial cost. The world is your oyster sir. Ditch that shitbox you don't like and get to livin'.

Therein lies the gamble one takes. A big, "If," but one that can pay off.
