If you are serious about buying your own CNC, but you want to save space without really breaking the bank, I suggest looking into the Shaper Origin. There's a refurbished one for the price of a low end cabinet saw on their website but you may find used ones on your local market websites. You don't need to get the workstation but you will need the checkerboard tape. I don't know exactly how big a work piece it can handle in one go but think of it as a handheld CNC. If you can trace a line, you can CNC out any design. Yes, you have to manually move the router around on the piece but you wont have to shell out high 4 figures or low 5s for a huge CNC table and pay someone to wire and install a larger outlet. You'd get better use out of it for smaller pieces but it does a fairly decent job based on all the reviews I've seen on YT. To caveat, I do not own one but I am seriously thinking of it to expand my woodworking utility belt. For now, I'm just a honey-do woodworker but I do enjoy my garage time.

    You're good no worries

And it's just people in general, and less to do with age as this younger generation has this "do it for me" mentality and it's nerve wrecking.

I'm in a lot of CNC groups and have a majority of people I help often on a one on one, hell I even get paid for my time just offering advice.

If computers aren't for you, you won't enjoy CAD as it's mostly all the work really is drawing/programming.

Some people buy into CNC thinking they can just put something together, press go and start making millions.

Had some scrap plywood leftover so made a barred owl box. Approximately 12-13' high up on tree.

A good friend of mine said to put his phone number on the refrigerator and tell my girl to call him first if I croak. I said will do, with a note that says add %10 over the cost of new, lol.

My father in law has willed me everything in his shop. It was built to wrap around his detached garage in the early 2000’s. It is about 1200 square feet and full of Powermatic (table saw, lathe, jointer, drill press), Laguna(bandsaw), ect. I joke with him about keeping my tools in tip top shape. He is 84 now and has some mobility and balance problems. Due to this he only goes out to the shop to tinker nowadays, no dangerous tools without someone else nearby. I will likely pass most of them on to my oldest son that also enjoys making sawdust.

Just because, or do you need owls?

We usually like owls around the property because they ward the other birds off, which I’m sure most people know.

No woodworking this weekend.my 21year old son and I used the garage to swap out the front CV axels on his 20000 Tundra 4x4.

I have hand surgery next Wednesday on my right hand and then left hand in March. Due to this, I will likely not be able to make any sawdust for a few weeks.
