I have the permanent prisms in my glasses . They help with the double vision from having my retinas laser repaired.

Good Morning Everyone Have a Great Saturday.

Today, 46 years ago I took the hand of my bride on a journey. Celebrating tomorrow with our kids

She's away today at funeral for a friend and visiting her sister. Home later for dessert.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/treasure hunters. My wife was cleaning out drawers yesterday and kept coming to me with these little trinkets from days gone by. It was kind of fun.

We got another dose of snow overnight. It's still coming down lightly but I'm going to head out anyway. The neighbor blew his snowblower up so I'll probably head over there after I'm done here.
My wife grew up in a family that gave girls pieces of silverware and china as gifts as they grew up. She has her china, her mother's, my mother's, and her sister's china now. Nobody wants them. Even though they all are very nice. We even saw one of the patterns when we watched "Downton Abbey"! But we can't give the stuff away.

Brrrrrrr!!! 9* this morning, but clear with a couple of inches of snow! Back to the 50s Monday. Another inside, Man-cave day. Well, if the sun really shows up today, maybe a bit of sun worshipping while shoveling sidewalks.
This is going to be another fun day! Enjoy yours!

A little something every chance we get.
 Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, it hurts when I do that. Doesn't even matter what that is! Oh well, no external bruising, so it's all inside. See the family doc for XRay on Monday if no improvements. I still want to play - I learned the rules pretty well at least in preparation; I was their best scorekeeper, and could call the faults (if they wanted). That ball does not play like you would expect though. Guess I will start a book or something today. Maybe there will be a movie or something I want to stream.

And here I was on Thursday at dinner telling her I watched that very article on the news, AND read it too. And the surge is because .... DUH!

You are the man! As much as I love my critters I’d be making reservations for them at the Shady Rest Critter Motel and booking a first class flight to Florida with fly rod in hand.

+1 except I don’t think wifey would like it. I could be wrong though. Wifey might really like it especially if the plane crashed…LOL!

Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!! We had about 4" of snow when all was said and done, then a few snow squalls during the afternoon caused whiteout conditions but didn't accumulate. Is it summer yet?

House sitter to pick up mail and feed the furballs.

    Another valid option.

Good morning. Little piddly things were fixed and determined a ballast was bad in one of the garage fixtures. Will order the ballast from Lowes and pick up on the way home from the gym. Curbside pickup and 10% military discount make it an easy choice. When did a ballast become so expensive? Almost as costly as a new fixture. Today is finishing up the TV installations and hanging wall stuff at my cousin's condo. Then off to Pirates Cove for an early dinner with music. Full day ahead.

Good morning! 57 degrees and a light rain forecasted until his afternoon. More slow progress on the attic clean out. Yesterday we took most of afternoon and sorted through old paperwork from her parents who both passed in the late ‘80’s and all sorts of stuff from our early years together. My wife found out as we sorted through her folks’ stuff that her mother was married and divorced before she was married to her dad. Didn’t seem to bother her though. We also found the service record for her grandmother”s first husband who was killed in WWII. I spent a lot of time with Google translations yesterday and from what I can tell he was a beekeeper from Bremen and was drafted as a reserve in 1937, called up in 1941 and spent a year fighting in Crimea before being transferred to the northern army in 1942 and killed in April of ‘44 in the battle of Narva during the German retreat from Russia. I doubt any of this collection has any real value but the nephew is fascinated by “old stuff” like vinyl records and manual window cranks so he’s welcome to it. Funny though, when my wife’s dad died we went over to help her sister, aunt and grandmother clean out the house. I rescued a couple pieces of china from the trash and when I asked about them, it turned out each person was finding pieces of it independently and trashing them. I wound up sifting through a half dozen trash bags and recovered a full service for 8 minus one teacup of my wife’s paternal grandmother’s china that we still have today.

I recall it was during that cleaning that we found a picture of her grandmother’s first husband’s grave and the grandmother was pretty upset that the headstone had the eagle and swastika on it because they didn’t believe in the cause.

Hmmm…weather today will be 48 to 50, either sunny or cloudy, no precipitation. NICE! I’ll take it. Need to finish shoveling the front sidewalk and back patio. Then clear the snow off my truck.
Uh oh! Winds to 13 mph. Oh well, I’ll wear a hat. If the squirrels and birds show up at the feeders, then the wind isn’t too high.
Oh I’m excited to just be alive on a beautiful winter’s day! Have a fine day all! Only improvement would not living in Calirado! LOL!
