I typically use Meguiar's or Mother's quick detail spray and microfiber towels. That does a nice job between rides. Usually don't need a full on hose wash unless I got caught in the rain or the roads were really messy.

I use S100 for a hose wash if needed, very safe product and it works great. For just general wipe downs I use torque products and microfiber towels. I just spray it on the towel and wipe it down. The torque products work great on my tacoma, the only time I actually have to wash it is in the winter to get the salt off.

I have done a couple auto tune rides on the monkey. This is just to get it close then use the O2 to make small adjustments in closed loop.
So far it’s running well. Still doing heat cycle rides. After it’s all broken in then I will do an oil, filter change and another full auto tune to fine tune it all.

I would say $3k is a deal. Anything more than that I would pass.

My buddy put like 60k miles on his, rode that thing EVERYWHERE. Developed a weird ecu/wiring issue. Dudes crazy if he thinks he'll actually get that price for it. It's definitely nice, but the market for that bike is super small

Woke up to snow here, couple inches and everything is white again. Itll be gone in a few days as we are going to warm up into the 40's again. Unfortunately the salt trucks will be out again. I probably wont get to ride till end of March or April. I wont get the bike out till the salt is gone.

That's what I'm going to shoot for 3500 is as much as I'd do personally since well I can't find shit out here that has good records like this... Half the time with 2 strokes out here it's.." when was the last rebuild? Uhhh rebuild? We just ride it and it's fine??" Meanwhile the bike has over 100 hours or around 200... So it's kinda a pain to find a good one down here unless you buy someone's bike that's a year old or brand new... Missouri sucks lol

lol he used some of my original ad. Then added some to it at the end. The orig owner was 68 I was 54 when I sold it. IIRC the guy that bought it was in his late 40’s.
And yes I agree the price is about 2 grand high. I would say $5500 all day. It is a real good bike with all the best mods. If I had the money I would buy it back.

Found another bike I want. I always liked the vfr800 interceptor with its V4 engine, single side swing arm, gear driven cams, comfortable and very reliable. I will go look at it this next week. It’s in the shop getting new tires and chain and sprockets.
Found a 2000 vfr800 with 8000 orig miles all stock in yellow.

I remember back in the day I was at a track day with Reggie Pridmore. He and his son put on a track day/school. Anyway I had my 2000 CBR 929rr and was doing real well on the track. Well Reg is an ex professional rider and was riding a 2000 vfr800 stock. He was so fast on that bike I could not keep up at all. It’s the first time I had the realization that it’s the rider and not the bike.

It's been pretty dang nice all week. I've been loving riding the bike every day. Gives me more motivation to actually show up. Lol. Unfortunately it was 40 degrees when I was leaving the house this morning and I just didn't want to deal with that today.

Went out for a tuning ride on the monkey. I think the map is done except for the upper RPM range (8k - 10.5k) after a couple more heat cycle runs I will change the oil and filter and finish the tune. So far it runs real well.

Then took the Klx out for a short rip. Going back to the stock 14t front sprocket from the 1 up 15 was the right decision. The bike really rips. 3/4 throttle up to 9k in all gears and you are moving. With the 15t 60mph was at 5800 rpm and with the 14t it’s 6300. 500 rpm difference at 60 isn’t a big deal and is still nice a smooth. 1st gear will power up the front pretty easy. Haven’t really tried 2nd gear clutch ups. So the KLX is running perfect.

Does anyone have experience with Hepco & Becker products? I'm looking for a locking tank bag. This is the only company I found that offers one for my Rally

Going to this today with my younger bro and my nephew Jacob. He is going to ride his Ktm and my bro and I are going to watch and see what it’s all about so we can maybe ride in something like this.
