Yes I did have to trim it a little as they disclose in the website listing. For clarification, you only need to trim the section that faces up at the front of the trd skid plate. That extra inch or so is what comes into contact with the bumper if not trimmed.

So just to get on the same page and confirm really, this is the part youre refering to? Not a trd plate, but only pic i could find that showed what i interpreted as what you were saying.

Yes, only the small section at the tip that bends upwards or vertically. I used a cordless hacksaw that cut it relatively straight then finished it off with a sander.

Our Stealth Bumper is the lowest-profile bumper on the market.

It has a sleek design and is sturdy. It can protect your vehicle from front-end impacts since it's made of heavy-duty steel. It offers 3x the amount of LED lighting output compared to others because it fits a dual-row light bar. Feel free to add on a winch or our stealth bumper license plate mount! Check it out here- https://caliraisedled.com/products/stealth-bumper-for-2016-2023-tacoma

This might be a crazy question, but could I use the bull bar as a recovery point?
I know, I know there are lower options available but would it work?

The question would be why? The bumper comes with shackle mounts.

Off the top of my head, if you get stuck in deep mud, or a river crossing. It would be easier and quicker to be able hook up to a higher point and move on.

Would probably work in that scenario. I have no idea about the strength of the welds and torque that would place on them and the mounts.

Hey! There is no specific weight rating for the bullbar. We definitely recommend using the recovery points as they are intended for! Sick rig by the way!

It does not! We made sure to keep it exposed during testing. The pro grille also relocates it higher up than the sport grille!

Interesting point on the TRD skid plate.
