Just following up for others - flashed it last night and have been driving around all day with the old AD tune. I was correct - this tip in, paired with the 2.0, would be a fantastic package for MT..brought back that "lost 1000 lbs" feeling.

Man some of y'all (mainly @moon22) are crazy! My truck with 5.29, sliders, huge rear steel bumper with massive swingout, front bumper with winch, a camper shell, and full roof rackage feels like it has too much sauce with Active Duty, I prefer to ride on WW even with all that weight.

Even with the latest throttle changes? I’ve got baby tires on 5.29s with the MT and I nearly stalled mine on WW2.0 multiple times. I didn’t try AD2.0 but seems it was the same according to moon.

    yes on the 2.0.
I am in an Auto though if that makes any difference here.

Probably makes a difference since you aren’t at risk of stalling it.

Oh yeah, it makes all the difference. MT have to modulate the clutch..which means we can modulate the clutch. AT guys can’t really control your torque converter stall (even though it’s at a predictable point) so the ‘lively’ revving manifests as jumpy driving behavior.

Hmm. Is the torque converter one of the last major, non-computer-controlled powertrain components (excluding lockup function)?

Taking that as a compliment! :D

@moon22 , @M1Awolf as noted, please email us and we'll get you a more aggressive throttle set from the test batch that we've kept in reserve

Has anyone else with the 2.0 tune and an auto had their truck start bucking and jumping when you are accelerating quickly and you reach higher rpms? I was told this would happen on a small percentage of 04C21 Tacomas and that they are working on a fix. I'm just curious if anyone else from the forum has the same issues with their truck. I've never had this issue with any tune I've installed in the past until now.

Yeah, I'm 04C21 and have the issue as well. It's more pronounced on the AD version for me. It generally occurs when I'm starting off and going up a slight incline.

I will tomorrow. To be clear, I love the tune and I'm having fun with it.

Yes. It’s very jerky. Kevin from yotawerx sent me a “fix” but didn’t do much.

The responsiveness and power is very much there. Just needs to be smoothed out and more linear

Same here. I also tried the patch file. It helped, but not much. Still goes nuts when applying a moderate amount of throttle. Hopefully they get it fixed and it will be good to go for us.

Odd and strange behavior, and that is apparently only happening on the newer model year(s). Hopefully you can share what the problem was and that it is not present in prior year model tunes. Thank you for your quick action and responsiveness - as usual Top Notch Tuner(s) and Top Notch customer service!

It hasn't been reported on any 2016-20MY, and we followed up with a number of customers with those model years to confirm.
