Tint, LED Interior upgrade, Clazzios on order! Besides previous owner installed Bakflip MX4 Tonneau, and Grey Husky Weather Beaters.
    Hello everyone!

I am Caleb from Alton, Illinois. About 30-35 minutes from St. Louis, Missouri, and 4 hours from Chicago, Illinois. Right on the great Mississippi River!

I work at my county's public transportation provider, Agency For Community Transit. Also known as Madison County Transit. We run the fixed route transit bus service, door to door service for the disabled, and elderly. As well as bike trails throughout the county! Some of the best bike trails in the country! My job is dealing with the Fleet side of the agency's paperwork, ordering fuel, and accepting our (B11 Biodiesel/87 Unleaded gas/and Diesel Exhaust Fluid)orders. I have been working at ACT for approximately 1 1/2 years now. In May it will be 2! Good pay, and benefits!

Anyway, now onto why I purchased a Toyota Tacoma!! My first vehicle from 2022 (got my license late because I was nervous at first, and focused on school and let it get away from me) I am also on the autism spectrum for Aspergers. It affects communication and other stuff. So I got my license in November of 2020 (at 20). And have had it since. My first vehicle was a 2010 Mercury Mariner Premier FWD in Black FULLY Loaded! Very comfortable black leather. It only had 93k at trade-in! I purchased it in May of 22 with almost 79k when I started at ACT with my own cash! It was a great car, and I sort of miss it. It was rusting at the K brace on the pass side. BUT LOVE MY TACOMA still!

Now on to why I wanted the Tacoma. I wanted a truck! I also know I wanted something smaller, and moddable, as well as cool looking, and JUST AS RELIABLE as my Mariner was! I was thinking of an F-150 at the VERY beginning of my search, as I was raised around Fords! But as I have grown older these Tacomas have become very appealing to me! Capable, moddable, and RELIABLE for the most part, and the best looking in Class!

So on 12/30/23, this 2018 Tacoma TRD Sport Double Cab Short Box 4x4 in the beautiful Silver Sky Metallic became mine! Sadly I went from a paid-off Mariner to having a payment. However, I will own it in early to mid-November as of right now, unless I decide to pay off earlier. It sadly had 76, xxx miles on it. I wanted 65k and under. Hard in this market! But the previous owner in Ohio took GREAT mechanical care of it. Carfax well-maintained seal. It was also built in Texas! Sadly it also doesn't have the Tech package (Blind Spot Monitoring, or the Rear Sonar.) But this truck is still loaded pretty well. I wanted cooled seats, and leather. But the softex oem leather in these trucks looks like Ford's Base vinyl, if not crappier. Clazzio or Katzkin looks great on these, and will be doing one or the other! The previous owner installed Husky Liners in Grey and a Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover! But I plan on doing MORE MODS!! I want to start with tint soon, then Clazzio leather. Right now it has some $20.00 Walmart Leather Covers. I bought it because I HATE sitting on cloth!

Anyway, I am glad to be apart of the Tacoma community!
