I did Napa leather clazzio in my ‘05. In hindsight I probably would prefer katzkin like my ‘02 Tundra. I did my dad’s rear seat and it wasn’t that hard really.

I think I’m over clazzios due to the bulk. But price-wise they are great value. Katzkin is just nicer.

my kids are 6 and 8 so I’ll keep my clazzios until they demonstrate respect for vehicles or leave the house :)

Ok to update anyone who have/had this issue, took my truck to a driveline shop and they said my stage 3 deavers jacked up my rear end way too high and my pinion angle was too extreme even with 3 degree shims. I went back to deaver and had them take out a leaf and rearch the pack and now my truck is level and the pinion angle corrected to solve the issue.

Looks sweet! Some more aggressive tires would finish it off nicely! Did the flatbed weigh much more than the stock bed?

it weighs about 160 pounds more. First time making one so now I know what I can do to drop some of the weight. But going aluminum for my next one whenever I get a chance to make it.

I'm at about 25% there on the new Katzkins, and I'll start saving up for this after that.

My 2014 Reg Cab 4WD just turned 160,000 miles. Thinking about replacing it soon. Both my son and son in law are postering to acquire it. I’ll let them sort that out.

I look at 2024 Tacomas on this website and can’t find anything that looks like my old 2014. Am I going to have to go a different route? Does anybody make a small or mid size reg cab anymore?

The day I brought her home:

Sadly for a true regular cab you have to go up to an f150/Chevy or ram 1500 now. Closest thing now would be an xtra cab tacoma or king cab frontier/supercab ranger

I got mine out and washed it up today. First time I’ve driven it in a couple months. Still puts a smile on my face. I need to get new tires. These still look new, but they’re ten years old and starting to show signs of dry rot.i think I’ll go up to 285’s this time.

You concerned about clearance at all? I considered going pizza cutters as an option for slight height gain without extra width but hours are being cut at work and it looks like I’m stuck with what I have now, since I can replace them two at a time in pairs to save cash

    Hi All,
What spark plug works the best in your 4 banger ? Changing out my originals soon. The truck has run perfectly on those for years.

Pretty much everyone uses the Denso plugs.

Yes. The 285’s will rub a little. My long term plans are to do the CMC, regear and put lockers front and rear and on board air, while keeping the stock look. I’m weird. I like the look of the skinny tires on factory steel wheels. I just need to research to see what’s available.

I just ordered a 2wd 2024 F150 XL regular cab that will be supercharged (700 HP)at the dealer and I’ll retain my factory warranty. Also I have a base model 2017 Ford Fiesta MT for my daily driver. I should sell the Taco, but I can’t bring myself to do it. It will be my emergency, bad weather rig.

Longtime luker, really appreciate all the ideas and knowledge on the forum.

2008, original owner, one driver Tacoma. All original, never wrecked. Finally have been doing some (mostly preventitive) maintenance, 220k miles orig clutch. Most recently has been full chasis saver application with bed off, U/L control arms, rear motor/trans mount, rear exhaust section. Just a small oil weep from upper oil res. and small leak from steering rack- neither worth messing with yet. New water pump and drive belt a few years ago. Full sunthetic 20k oil and filter every 12 months.

As mint as a driver could be for the age, mileage and usage.

    Cheers!
