I had to think about that for a second...lol!

The Commercial side is getting a lot of attention right now...I'm on the Defense side with the C17 on Dover AFB.

I didn't roll down my windows on the drive up to Philly...which is what I thought of first...lol!

    Gmorning Delaware + surrounding areas.

Woke up to snow on the ground…which is already melting.

When I drove up to Philly yesterday, I noticed roads were already salted.

I drove my wife’s car and noticed salt dust on the tires/wheel wells.

I added car wash when fueling up at Royal Farms and got most of it rinsed off.

    Be careful out there everyone.

The snow didn't stick around much...which is great!

Our youngest would have stayed home had it continued to snow.

Instead, she drove down from Wilmington with Azshara (Black Lab) to spend the night. :)

It's Korean BBQ & Sushi Bar for dinner tonight!!!

Hey all, I work for Toyota in Dover De (9 years) Well, the company CF Schwartz sold the Toyota dealership after 80 years. On March 4th we become I G Burton Toyota (think that’s going to be the name.) so we will be an up to date modern dealership. Hit me up and I will do what a can for the members on here. Just a simple FYI!
BTW, been on here for years. lol

That's my go to Dealership that I have been praising for handling the maintenance of my Sport.

You have an excellent team there.

So, the staff will stay the same?

I guess we won't be seeing Linda & Bruno the dog on commercials anymore. :(

They under contract can no longer be C F Schwartz. So no more Bruno. They are keeping all the staff (I’ve been told). Again we have to see on 3/4/24. It will be a good thing for everyone. More modern and up to date technology.

    Good to hear!

Lori is the best Service Coordinator. The staff know how I am with my truck...lol

I inspect/open the hood, get under the truck, walk around before departing.

The first time I did that, Lori came out and asked if everything was OK.

I told her what I was doing and she said, customers don't do what I was doing...and I was the first she had noticed doing that!

Anyhow, I asked about the TRD Lift kit almost 2 years ago...apparently, it had only been done once or twice at the time--I'm sure you guys have done more since.

When the time comes, I will have this dealership do the work.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Good morning Delaware + surrounding areas.

Thanks to @Coronerrpm for the dialogue regarding Toyota Dealership in Dover.

I'll have to ask about the "Eibach Lift" now that you've mentioned it.

    Have a good day.

@memario1214 had a great overview of that lift, the 5110s (or maybe 6110…)and the Fox 2.0. I’ll see if I can find it again and share it here or tag you there.

    Found it-

@memario says All 3 are quality setups. Here's been my experience with them all having sold them all and been in vehicles with them all on many, many different occasions.

Bilstein 6112/5160 - I currently hold this setup as the best setup for the money in most cases. You get a solid amount of oil capacity as @wi_taco alluded to, a shock that doesn't ask for a rebuild after 40k, and a very solid all-around ride quality.

Eibach 2R - Also an excellent setup. The ride profile is very similar to Bilstein, but the Eibachs ride a little softer in my experience. The downsides to them are that they are a smaller body up front so they are going to be more susceptible to shock fade when pushed. They also have shock bodies that I have found to be more susceptible to the elements. Our salt belt folks have been finding that the body finishes are tired after a couple of winter cycles. That said, we've never had one come back for breakage or seals failing so we're good there! Just a visual "note"

Fox 2.0 - We pretty much don't recommend these for daily drivers anymore... unfortunately. IMO you're largely paying for the name with the 2.0. For daily driven use they tend to ride quite firm (contrary to what their progressive valving nature would lead you to believe). Then, to top it off when you really push them they don't have the oil capacity to keep up. :notsure: If you're going to run Fox my two cents is to push to something like the performance elite series where you'll get to truly feel the Fox benefits.

We've got everything that you've been eyeing here on the shelves at Hotshot Offroad. If you have more questions, or just want to chat through build ideas shoot me a pm or give us a buzz! 406-936-0206

    Hey Eric, @hyrule_trd

The TRD Lift comes with Bilstein 5100 shocks...not sure of the specific differences with 6112/5160. (I'm thinking it's better for off-road handling)

For normal street driving, I'd be happy with the 5100s.

    Thanks for the info!

I don’t know that kit was 5110s but with that in mind I think you’ll like em.

Lots of people have them and like them. @Road_Warrior has them on his truck.

Yep! I love the 5100’s. I’ve put about 20K miles on them since I had them installed last year. They work great for moderate off roading and daily driving of the rig as well. I highly recommend them as a budget friendly option for someone who isn’t planning on doing any crazy wheeling.

I ordered mine from Colton at Hotshot Offroad. I’ve purchased a lot of parts from his shop and it’s always a great customer service experience.

6112's and 5160's have a larger body. Holds more fluid. Won't fade as quick. Last longer before needing a rebuild. Slight more adjustability. Can't go wrong with 5100's or 6112/5160. I've installed both for customers. In my opinion the 6112/5160 is worth the extra coin.
