@MidnightRebel07 the shocks never made it to my sister's house I've been down with the flu since Tuesday. I tried to work on Friday thinking I was better but ended leaving after 3hrs worked. And called out of work for tomorrow.

Much appreciated folks, I'll be digging more. I just need 2 channel with parking mode. Very disappointed in the Cobra setup I have now..first set croaked right before the year warranty and was replaced, second set made it 13 months. Not like I drive the truck that often either.

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians and Othertuckystatians!!! We had about 4" of snow when all was said and done, then a few snow squalls during the aternoon caused whiteout conditions but didn't accumulate. Is it summer yet?

Fortunately, mine came with the remote start. Plus, we have a garage, which means never scraping or brushing. My wife's Rav4 doesn't have a remote, so I go out and start her car on work days if it's cold enough, which hasn't been every day this winter. She hates the cold.

That the best thing I ever had installed on my truck was the remote start. It has a 20min timer on it. Only problem with that is my heat or ac only works on the highest setting. And if I forget to put it on high and start the truck it's still gonna be cold af when I go to get in.

My 2021 had that remote start, but as soon as you opened the door it shut off, so almost kind of pointless?

I only have a 1 car here and keep the Camry in there. It doesn't come out in the snow. I bet it would do fine, but I'd rather only get 1 vehicle dirty.

Yes. It turns off when you open the door. Since mine is in a garage, that works fine for me. I start it, finish getting ready and when I am ready to leave I walk out and it will turn off, so I do have to restart it. On a day like today, where I have already run out to get gas and the wind chill is in the single digits, it's nice to just get in and go. If you have to brush off snow, then it wouldn't make as much sense as you can let it heat up while you do that.

Mine is a aftermarket remote start so it only turns the truck off when you hit the brakes. Or after 20mins. Luckily I didn't pay for my remote start my old boss at the glass company got it for me for Xmas 1 year. It's probably the only good thing that guy did for me for the 6 years I worked for him.

I bought the Start-X remote starter and installed it before Christmas. It shuts off when I open the door but that's seriously a first world problem. I make sure to have my defrost on and heat the whole way up to clear my windshield, but it really doesn't bother me to have to hit the start button when I get in the truck.

I stopped using mine for this reason. The hardest thing on an engine is starting it. I don’t need to do it excessively…

Idling a gas vehicle is terrible for it. Probably significantly worse than starting it.

I usually let mine warm up for about 5 minutes or so with the remote starter. It shuts off after 10. I've always heard starting and immediately driving a vehicle on a very cold day isn't good. Something about the oil needs to warm up and thin out?
