Is the new helldivers fun? Unsure how the perspective change will play.

i enjoyed it ya. its very chaotic haha also do be warned if you buy the game for your first login well turn your headset off and walk away for 30mins... it will blast music so damn loud! but you cant turn it down until you enter in the servers which takes awhile...

not sure what you mean by perspective change thou?

Original Helldivers had a top down view. Not over the shoulder.

Also, I don't do sound through my headset. It is only for voice chat.

Went out for the last heat cycle ride on the monkey. Came home changed the oil and filter. I also installed the 14t front sprocket and took off the 15t stock front just to see what it feels like with the 143kit. Then it started to rain so no more riding today. I did notice it was slower top end with my fat ass on it. Just think how much 30lbs of weight loss would do!

Couple day break from the Internet as I was out in the desert riding! Put 180mi on the WR450 over two days from 2500ft to 7kft all across the dove springs / jawbone area. Good times.

Been working on my 701 this past week, got some maintenance/mods done:

    - oil change
    - new front Michelin Power 5
    - Vanasche Motorsports skid plate
    - Arrow Race-Tech titanium slip on
    - Dynojet Power Commander 6 (mapped by Rottweiler Performance) and fueling dongle
    - new tail light (the integrated plate light stopped working, R&G sent a free replacement)

Installing the power commander was a little tedious... it's plug and play, but not much room to work and getting the airbox out/in is a pain. I should have got the Rottweiler intake and done that at the same time.

The skid plate fits well and has good coverage. It's plastic but very solid - made out of 3/8" UHMW.

I went for a test ride yesterday and the bike runs great! Very smooth and feels like it pulls harder. Exhaust sounds nice, going to leave the baffle in don't think I want it any louder. I'm also waiting on a carbon fiber heat shield to replace the stock metal piece.

Add a decent amount of aftermarket support and the long maintenance intervals to that list. It's sort of funny but most of the FJR owners I know have owned multiple FJRs. I'm currently on 3, my friend Hugh is on his 3rd. I know others with even higher numbers. Vastly underappreciated bike.

It's not my style bike, but this thread has shown me how cool they are. It'll be interesting to see what happens to their prices now that articles are being written about them.

I understand. I've always had fairly high performance bikes so I don't know how I'd like some of the small bikes some of you like or how they would work for me.

The klx with dirt tires would do just fine on everything I did.

It was kinda funny, I haven't ridden my wr450 since mid October. In that time I started riding the xt225 around town.

I got used to the very soft suspension on the XT225 and when I got on the wr450 I thought something was wrong at it seemed overly harsh... Nope just 12in of suspension meant to soak up stuff at legit speed haha

So this event was pretty interesting. One thing I noticed is the amount of freaking Ktm’s there were there.
So my nephew was in the open B class long course. It was 8 miles and started on pavement where they do about 12 tight turns with about 120’ between corners it went about 100yrds then they hit some fast single track then back on the pavement for an up and down maybe 1/8 mile total then back into the woods that wound around the property. My nephew who is 17 said it was the toughest ride he has ever done. They did 5 times laps each and turn in your best run. He was exhausted after 4 laps and called it at that. In his defense it was rainy and super muddy. I think I may have been able to do a lap in the time it took him to do 4 Lol. Out of about 800 bikes there were only two KLX300R’s among the sea of orange.
So no much to see as a spectator but a big challenge for the rider. I think I would be more into it when the weather is better.
