I have an 06 DC I just purchased a couple months ago.
Yesterday I noticed this transmitter type thing near the rearview mirror.
Is this from the factory or aftermarket and does anyone know what it is for?
It has a button on it which I pushed and I didn't see or hear anything happen.
Could it possibly be a garage door opener from the previous owner?
    Anyone have one like it?

    Thanks for any help.

No name but it has a sticker on the side with a barcode and these numbers.........41800252

Also has what looks like a little lite on the bottom side facing the dash where that antenna looking thing is at the bottom. The antenna looking thing is about an inch long.
Has a plug at the top that connects 5 wires to it.
The wires run to the drivers side and then down behind the a pillar.

I was just teasing you. It is a push button for lights that were probaly put on the bottom of the truck or inside. I had some on my caravan. No James Bind SHeet.

That could be. I did have remote start installed when I made the purchase.
I've had a few remote starts installed though and none of them ever had something like that. And what would the button be for then?
I have the book for the remote start and there is no mention of it in there.

    I don't think so.

    You are correct sir.

    Thank you

After doing some research online I found out it is the remote start antenna with built in LED and valet button. Here's a picture of evrything that comes with the remote start package.

As you can see bottom center is the device I was asking about in my first post.

    Thanks everyone for your help

    Mystery solved........................

I have this antenna on my truck too and I am looking to find out what type of remote starter it is unfortunately your pic doesn't load anymore. Would you be able to post a pic or the name of the remote starter? Thanks!
