Lifelong Patriots fan..yup. The couple of times we got to the big show we got smacked around. Or all the years the Red Sox were either shitbums or just oh so close to it.

That was a great series. The morning of Game 7, I was working down in Carmel and almost got T-boned by somebody with a George Brett sticker on their pickup about a mile from my job site. It was at that point that I knew we would win. Ended up buying the entire bar a round that night. Fortunately, it was a small bar.

 

And just like the KC-SF Super Bowls it was close. Game 7, bottom of the 9th, tying run on 3rd. Heart brake for us but we won it the next year.

 

It doesn’t but thanks for mentioning it. Chiefs grace period ended for me the first time you beat us. The whole Swift thing was just a distraction without a distinction. She has fans and haters in every fan base but like most things in the entertainment industry people overreact and the media plays it up. Good for them if it lasts or enjoy it until it’s over.

 

The only one during the run that went 7 games. Gregor Blanco made a ton of outstanding plays for us but that wasn’t one of them. Speaking of them, Pablo Sandoval has been invited to camp as a non-roster invitee. Probably the best hand-eye I’ve ever seen in the most unlikely body. He’s still young but I have to wonder how his knees have held up as well as how much of his salary he carries around his middle.

 

I knew when we resigned Travis Ishikawa. Just had to wait to see how he would do it. Wasn’t disappointed.

 

True though IDK about 37 being young though..

Truth is I thought he was early 30’s so not disagreeing at all. Walking the dog and getting through a working day are my current goals. At 37 I could still ski wherever snow stuck but the competition was with rocks and trees not other younger athletes. Unless he’s put in some next level work the things that set him apart will be offset by the baggage of his years. One thing I’ve noticed though is reflex actions can get more accurate with time even if the pieces move a little slower. He might still have some moments left.

 

I only guessed the general range (later 30s) off my skull since I do fantasy baseball and remember him being hyped up as a rookie. I also remember my beloved Red Sox handing him a huge contract that made me cringe haha.

Definitely agree, IDK if I play him in the field every day but he might still have another decent year hitting in him.

At 50 I have yet to be on skis and don't see that changing, but I still ride BMX..not in every way I once did haha

Well the right side is likely Josh Allen, Mahomes, Goff, Winston, and Wilson. So ‘mostly’ guys still starting. GB was Majkowski. Had to look that up, I had forgotten about him.

 

Yes on those. FOrgot about GB as well, was he just a fill in at some point for injury? Guessing

Top of the skull some notables on left are Burrows CIN, Jones NE, Rush DAL, Lawrence JAX. I know a few more but can't place them such as the Jets. So definitely more a mixed bag, though Rush was starting when Dak was injured.

 

I think Majkowski played for a while. That was several years before Farve.

 

Never was just one or the other.
