Awesome thread. I tried to search for this answer but couldn’t find it.

I’m looking to call JD fab and see if they can make a complete set of axles with the 934 CV’s for +3.5 long travel. However Im using the dirt king cam tab alignment gussets. Will 934 cv axles work with these or do I need to convert to JD fab cam gussets?

The cam tab gussets don’t matter what CVs are in there. Or vice versa. I’m sure they can make you something for +3.5, you’ll just need to notch and cap part of the frame for the CV.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure, I’m having a hard time finding pictures, videos or instructions of the 934 installed or what sections need to be cut out and if it’s both side or just one side that need cutting. I’m looking to the 934 cv for the extra articulation. I currently have to set my limit straps to just before the cv starts to bind. Im hoping it will allow some extra travel.

I'd like to get a few rides in and get a base feel first before anything. We just wanted to see what the valving was and how much oil we needed to add. Both sides were about 1.5 - 2 cups low.

JD did my 934 + cv install last week and I'm getting a grinding in 4HI. Only in 4HI/4LO. Front diffs are 5.29's and ECGS bearing was already done (but it's in 4HI not 2HI anyway).

I'll call the shop on Monday and have a chat but any ideas of where to start? There doesn't look like any excessive play in the axle and when jacked up I can't wiggle the wheel more than I'd expect so a bearing/axle nut doesn't seem likely.

The 5.29s have been kinda sensitive to gear oil and JD probably drained it so I'll swap it out for 85-140 tomorrow and see but open to ideas.

Check your axle hits the bumps. Looks like you got the same ones I did. For a truss, Need to modify and move the bumps forward

Things just got interesting. Why the drastic wheel base change? I’d also like to see way more shackle angle at ride height. I was advised to shoot for 35-45° shackle angle at ride height
