I will be so glad when winter is over! Who else hates cold or just finds it painful? Oh, I am in San Diego County, so cold to me is any day under 70° !

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Yesterday was pretty good with rib pain, but I said if I wasn't feeling improved again today, I'd get to the doc. No, I won't. Can't see them until March 4, so, I have decided to feel improved anyway. Still no external bruises, and I move a lot better than I did. Ah, for those days of "one day healing". Guess I'll just putz and watch the rain out races. Really got a lot to do outside, but it's just going to have to wait.

The bulbs I have are Phillips 17T8/48-5000 IFG 10/1 lamp that requires an instant start ballast. They may be 7 or 8 years old at this point.

The first time I replaced a ballast for those Philips tubes, was the LAST time I ever replaced anything for them, and I worked for Philips. LED's for the win.

Not much they can do for rib pain. Pain patches and tramadol . They expect you to breathe deeply so you don't get pneumonia.

Got some patches today. Been using some roll on Aspercreme. All in all both good. No bruises, but I expect more lessening of the soreness (it has localized, more or less). But, since I can't peek inside, someone won't be satisfied until I know there's nothing worse. So, tomorrow AM, I'm going to go sit in the Dr. office, and wait, and wait until they get me an XRay, or orders so someone else will. It's stupid to have to put this in ER category, and I don't plan to do so. That just costs everyone money and time.

Me2, I hate cold, my only dream is to move to a warmer state!. During winter I get mood change , mild depression, want to sit day do nothing all day. I took vitamin D3 over the limit, doctor told me I've to stop for a while. I've have been this way as far as I remember, it gets wore as I get older,. Some folks love cold and snow, not me.

You do pay a high 'sunshine tax' if you move to California or Hawaii. Cheaper is Florida, but they have big bugs, hurricanes and humidity! I just topped my Tacoma at Costco (cheapest gas here) and it was $4.37/ gal for 87 octane. Other stations are near or over $5/ gallon.

We get the average sunny days here in northern Virginia, very clean weather, four seasons , plenty of jobs, you name it, it's only me , my family don't want to move anywhere else. Gas is very cheap in here. I topped mine at Costco and it was 2.87/gal. other gas station prices go up to 3.57/ gal. California in not an option, I heard many folks are leaving California, all we see on the new are Thieves, robberies , crimes, drug addicts, (skid row) pollutions, hi death from agricultural pests and other chemicals, you can correct me if I'm wrong though !. Hawaii too expensive for me. Florida has mix feeling for us, we visit a few time a year, yeas hurricanes and humidity are real.

Oh you are correct, the crime is spreading... of course this is mainly in the deepest parts of the cities. However, even where I am, 40 miles from a big city, in a senior citizen community, our community pool cover was just stolen, well half of it! What happens when you don't spank your kids and give them participation trophies!

The coffee maker woke me up, :hattip: Good morning kids,:taco: Tuesday. My personal opinion on gas prices is there’s a lot of “price gouging “ going on. The price gouging doesn’t stop with gas, they do it because they can, free market economics.:oldglory:

.29 cents a gallon in Michigan, gas around me is around $3.15 a gallon. What I find odd is a few years ago oil was around $90 a barrel and gas was $2.30 a gallon

If the price of oil goes up, the price at the pumps goes up an hour later but when it comes down, the price at the pumps stays high because they have to sell all that gas they bought at the higher price.
