rebuild kits typically come with a packet of clear red seal grease.
There is similar stuff such as Castrol red rubber grease

    the point of it is:
    1. eases install of a seal, so it doesn't tear
    2. helps hydrate, or keep the seal hydrated, by providing a protective layer, to protect it from brake fluid and water
it may even be possible to coat the piston, helping it slide in.

rebuild kit instructions with the watery red grease typically say to soak the seal, which I've done inside a plastic disposable cup.

as opposed to other greases, like run of the mill brown/orange metal bearing grease, would not be good for this, as it's petroleum-based and would eat/dissolve/destroy rubber.

Last set of reman calipers I bought one was BENT. How even do you bend a caliper? So yeah, this.

I never found it. I just used info like bolt size.
I can mail the one washer I have. I’m in Tampa Bay, should be anywhere in Florida in a couple days. Pm me.
The one I have is unused.
