    Hello everybody,
I've got a 2007 Base model, Silver, Double Cab Tacoma, V6,4x4, 6spd manual, with 251,000 miles.
I am currently leveled out, (which I believe is 2.5" of lift) and I am also running a set of BF-Goodrich K02's (265-75-16).
Am I stressing out the front end of this truck?
It drives very nicely for the age and mileage, and I want to keep it that way. I absolutely love the truck. I take care of it as best as I can, as this is my first vehicle.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Heck, you're right. I was just curious if anyone was reporting failures of any components.
I have zero issue with replacing parts, as I wrench on everything myself. I am also willing to replace anything, so, hell yeah, I'm going to send it; You only live once!
By the way, everything in my front end is stock, no "upgrades" to anything, except the leveling spacer.

    Thank you for your advice!

I'd start with checking ball joints and tie rods. Are your front tires wearing evenly?

There is zero play in my front end; it drives nicely, however, there are slight tears in my lower ball joint boots. Other than that, there are no other issues/concerns.
And yes, my front tires wear nice and evenly.

-folks say lift should be max 2"
-if you've got lift, CV boot gets put at a tighter angle; there is different CV boot upgrades for this, or CV boot mod changing clamp location
-brakes. The stock ones aren't even up to the task of the truck in stock configuration

The brakes on these trucks are inadequate? How so?
I’ve towed 3700 pounds without trailer brakes, and had no complaints. Just curious as to what you mean?
Also, good idea on the CV axles; I’m considering a 1” Front Differential Drop kit.

Just in case if anyone is curious,

I installed a 1" Front Diff Drop kit the other day. It was a fairly simple install, and if you are curious, there are many write-ups on how to do it.
The 1" kit is a perfect match for a leveling kit on these trucks, as now the CV Axles are perfectly flat.

I ended up removing the lift kit recently. I honestly like the look better with the rear higher, like a truck. Plus when I load it, it drives nicely. Would recommend not leveling a truck if you do work with it.

If you work your truck it’s likely the suspension will need a boost in the boot, they’re notoriously under sprung. Basically they’re built to drive empty or with only a light load.

When I do use it, it never sees more than 800 pounds anyway, so it's perfect for me. Handles loads very well considering they're "off road trucks" and all midsize.
