Why does it matter? It's a Land Cruiser 100%

Being more squared off should help too, liked our Isuzu Trooper over a 4Runner for that very reason. A proper SUV should be square and boxy.
    Cool, thanks for finding that.

The new Sequoia is hilariously terrible for cargo, and say to the salesperson, “you want how much for this!?” Then laugh manically…

Oh I did...lol....The only reason I looked at it was a friend was in town and was thinking about a replacement for his Tahoe, they didn't have any on the lot in his area and I happened to see one on the lot in mine so we stopped by. His assessment was the same as mine...train wreck...

No 3rd row seats make it not is bad as the Sequoia. They don’t even come out. Horrendously terrible design. To think they designed this from the ground up.

I think the Sequoias days are numbered.

Because it's a dilution (and a diminishing) of the brand that has been in this country for seven plus decades.
It's a light duty land cruiser. Which have always been called something else here.

Land Cruisers should have reached a dignified end after the 200.

You’re going to have to compare the Toyota and Lexus 250s side by side to see how much floor is eaten up by the batteries.

Ehh I disagree. This to me will be one of the great iterations of the LC. It is designed very close if not to the same dimensions as my 80 Series. It will sell well at a very affordable price point. The only thing lacking to me is a solid front axle.

Yeah, I think the LC250 will be the best new vehicle they put out on the new BOF platform. It seems to be thought out better than some of the others. I'll give my final worth almost nothing opinion after seeing the 6th Gen 4 runner next year.

i used to wheel with a friend with a 3rd Gen 4 runner. If that thing had locking axles and beefier rear link setup it would be almost as good as my LC. They are basically baby LC's. Very good Gen of the 4Runners for sure.

Yep, it is a smaller 300. They have been selling Land Cruiser Prados overseas for decades.

Sure do like it better than the 4G Tacoma. While pickups do work better for me, theoretically could make a SUV work, but I carry a couple bins full of extra fluids for the bikes, saws and truck. Have made messes of the interiors in my old SUVs. Spilled a half gallon of saw gas in my 4Runner…that was fun! After that, thought I really need a truck.

Have considered importing one of those, but so over working on stuff. Closest thing here is in older Trooper, but they are a pain in the ass to find parts for. Good friend of mine is trying to keep one alive, constantly scouring Planet Isuzu.

    IMG_5387.jpg

We had an ‘02 loved that thing except for the crappy GM trans they tossed in it. Paid a whole U.S. dollar for it, so really couldn’t complain. :) when I say I am a cheap SOB, I mean it. Trans finally went, and we donated it to Vehicles for Veterans.

My wife is missing her Trooper, she always has boxes and boxes of books/school supplies being toted around. Her Tacoma does ok, but the topper leaks so everything goes in the cab, which I was struggling to get shit behind the seats of the extracab (and thought immediately how stupid it was of Toyota to go back to that design, ha!) anyways she has been looking at getting another SUV. We looked at the Sequoia, even she was like what the fuck is this!? This is almost absolutely useless. She is petite, so for her to lift/slide heavy boxes of books in and out of that thing would be a struggle. Hell, I tweaked my back loading the XC Taco.

My friend has an ‘84, and a ’02. He is a persistent kind of guy, but ready to throw the towel in on both.

He’ll call me out of the blue all excited saying “I found the last such and such…took me 7 and a half months, but I found it!” The dude has a ton of money too, could plop down cash for a brand new LC, but another one of those incredibly cheap SOBs that I know.

Just one data point, I know....

But personally, I will be in the market for a replacement for my Explorer ST for model year 2026, and the new LC will get a look where the old one would not have. I know $80,000 is only 23% more than $65,000....but I can stretch and buy a $65K vehicle and $80 is just a bridge too far for me.

3rd row seats? I don't want or need them.

In the past I've replace my daily every 6 years...110,000 miles.but I'm looking at trying to retire around 2029 - 2031, so my next vehicle needs to be more like a 10-15 year 250,000 mile vehicle. My ST has been pretty reliable....but expecting that ecoboost engine or the 10 speed AT to last much past 100,000 miles? Not a bet I care to make.
