That was really helpful for me. Torn between 285 and 255. Didn’t know Toyo had a 255 when I was looking. This thread is really helpful. Thanks.

Do you have 255/75r17 or 255/80?

I had the 255 Toyos and went to BFG 285. I much preferred the 255s. The 285s rubbed like crazy and the truck felt clunkier. I loved the look, but the 255 was a better fit for my needs. I just wish the 255 Open Country MTs came is a C as opposed to E for weight.

Firestone destination MT in 255/75r17 is a C rated tire. I just picked up 4 for $550 shipped!

Late 2022 for 2, and then early 2023 for the other two. Search eBay for 255/75r17 and CWO is the seller

Man they look great. How's the ride and noise? I have Maxxis Razr AT's I need to swap out but I don't want anything heavier. I'd be going from 2657017 @ 40lbs each. These look like 49.6lbs

They ride nice and smooth, small bumps feel better than the E rated Falken AT3W 255/80r17 that I had before. The Firestone MT is quieter than my studded snow tires but loud compared to an AT tire. Fortunately the low price helps offset the noise!

Slightly offtopic, I'm in a 4R now and not a huge fan of those wheels but HOLY CHIT, they look AWESOME on a Taco.

These are my favorite stock wheels. 7.5” wide with 15mm of offset vs 25-30 for most stock Taco wheels. Plus I think they look bad ass, even without being painted.

Hey guys, there are a lot of pages to sift through here, so I’ll just ask. I’ve got a 22 TRD Pro and curious if a 255/85/16 on stock wheels will work without rubbing. I appreciate the help, thank you.

I didn't even need to have mine re-aligned. Zero rubs on or off road.

Am I lost... or is Falken not making the 255/80/17 AT4W in Load Range C?

All this talk about it and I can't find them in C anywhere. Need new tires this month. Kinda sucks if they make them in C for 16" but not 17".

Edit: Apparently I was lost and they're NOT producing it in 255/80/17. What a shame.
