Thanks @Jim=2015 TRD PRO, well, it guess it is a good thing I work from home (for the moment), and if I do accept a new job it will most likely be out of Reston, VA two to three days per week, so I can fill up when I'm south of the border (so to speak). :p

I relate, about the highschool days we had a gas and beer war at the same time. I guy could get a lot for 5 dollars. My first time working at a gas station was a interesting job. It was a real learning curve. It as different. We went from pumping gas to selfservice at one of the 7 stations the guy owned. Everyone was putting an extra 2 cents in. Thinking we could let it slide. We did for the first week then it ended as it started to add up quickly.
I understand I wasn't thinking you were being funny, I was on a thread that someone must have complained about doing the same thing, talking about taxes. Looks like we're all on the same page.
Next thing I know I was banned no warning or clue it was political. I had to ask. I think we're about the same age. We were discussing taxes on truck purchases.

Weren't they! When my older sister needed a car my dad got her a 1960 Ford Falcon Ranchero. 2-speed automatic. It had 60K miles on it, which was the kiss of death in those days, so I'm sure he got it cheap. Still, in those days, it was safe as a house. Lots of metal in every direction. He felt good putting his little girl in there and sending her out into the Big Bad World.

Then she moved out, and I inherited it. I christened it The Rauncho and filled the bed with amps and drum kits and whatnot for all the high school rock band kids I hauled for, including myself. When it wasn't doing that the Rauncho would haul my friends to and from high school. They'd give me a nickel, maybe a dime, whatever they could. Kept me in gas.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!!

It is, once again, time to float out the "be careful when discussing anything with political overtones" warning. Over the years, I've seen a lot of people get 30 day time-outs for what they believed to be innocuous comments. It's a private site and we all agree to abide by its rules - that includes no political discussions and the mods enforce it tightly. It's not right or wrong, it's just a fact. I'm not trying to start an argument, only encourage discretion because I don't want to see any of you end up with a 30 day ban or worse.

Please tread carefully (and don't shoot the messenger like the last time I offered this friendly warning).

Gas prices at BJ's club is in the mid $2.90 to $3:00 range. Most stations I drive by are in the $3.30 range. But what do I know, I usually gas up once a month.

Good morning. Happy Wednesday, music lesson today. Wife and son are going out to music and dinner. Think I will join them.

I didn't - not worth the effort and could have just ended up with me getting a time out, too. So I let it go....and the person eventually took a permanent ban. Sad.

Weather yesterday was just amazing! Spent most of the day outside in a t-shirt (and pants! I know someone would have said something! LOL!) 62* and sunny! WOW I loved it! Got a lot of mulching replaced where the winds have blown it off my plants. Did some trimming of bushes that got some broken limbs from the snows. Just mostly piddled around the yard. AWESOME DAY! Only hope this isn’t a sign about how hot the summer is going to be?
My black Sumatra coffee is tasting excellent this morning!
Everyone make today special because we will never see it again (well maybe those who believe in time machines will! LOL!)

:plane: Good Morning and Happy-ish Hangar Day Porch Pals & Sue! ISH because I am still advised to keep doing more "nothing" until my ribs stop hurting. Good news is that I got my XRays no problems, and they look just fine. So, I am just old and sore. Can't do anything with the old engine, or volunteer for the BT-13 wing tanks (yet), but we have a visitor I want to see. So, get some donuts, and off I go.
