Look at the Land Cruiser for a hint.

Not a good comparison, different vehicles in almost every sense.

Look at the tundra for price. I think it's an extra 2 grand isn't it?

That would be a better gauge of the price of the MAX option or up price for MAX Tacoma models.

I think the tundra is a closer comparison correct? 3-4k on top. Might lock it together with the upgrade or premium package. That would be a crappy thing to do, so I could see it happening.

I feel like most the package/options will have things split out later on once production is in full swing. Getting the JBL or power seats as single add ons would be great. If only Toyota could figure out how modern car companies operate I would appreciate it.

It also depends on the battery they use. Might be smaller then the tundra

Thought they said the hybrid portion of the drive train is the same as the tundra?

Love the fat electrician but the one thing that gets me in that video is him saying the Tacoma is slow and basically expecting the hilux will be different.

I'm fully expecting this at launch. As you said, hopefully if they do that, they also split it up down the road.

The cruisers are expensive and the hybrid Tacos will be, too. That was the point.

I fully expect it will be on top of a premium option too.

At least GM is confirming there may be a problem and setting something in place for it.....Toyota just lets Tundra buyers get stranded on the side of the road...they fix it but act like it didn't happen...lol....I guess each approach is effective in its own way.

Don't worry, the same folks building the Tundra engines are building the Tacoma's but I'm sure they are better at cleaning the motor now....
