TRD PRO OEM LED Headlights, Where to buy?

so, I’m 99.99% sure you’re not as dumb as me but I had a poor front bumper alignment at the seam for years after installing my set. Recently did my sso slimline and apparently I had pinched the inner plastic splash guard between the crash bar bracket and frame horn, pulling it out of alignment. Yes, I removed my entire bumper and crash bar just for fun during the headlight install. After fixing that during the sso install, my seam is pristine.

For you, going through visual check with a flashlight and comparing R and L sides might identify something. Or posting photos for extra opinions from the rest of us.

 

My passenger side fender gap is off a little too. I'm too lazy to pull it apart and fix it though.

 

Here are a couple of pictures that shows the gap between the bumper and fender on the passenger side.
Not sure why the bumper does not snap back into place. I know there is a clip that fits between the fender and bumper that is held in place by the same bolt for the headlight. Not sure if this clip is the problem.
Might have to make a trip to the body shop to have this fixed.

Looking for any suggestions.

 

Mines not that bad. It's been a minute since I've done this install, but can you lift up and re try pulling the bumper cover towards the fender?

Kind of looks like the plastic piece here is in the way. Like the bumper needs to come over the top of it before it'll click into place.

 

I tried that a couple of times. Seems there is nothing for the bumper to hook on to.

Went to the local body shop and asked them if they could help me out and get the bumper snapped back into place. Checked it out and said no problem. Said one of the tabs on the clip was bent, used a small pick on the tab and popped the bumper back into place. 5 minutes and everything was good and no charge. Life is good.

 

Awesome. Looked like something bent but hard to see. Glad it’s resolved. Glad no cost. Drop them a sixer or something to spread the cheer.

 

Bought them lunch.

 

Love the new headlights. They are pricey but they are worth it. My advise is don’t waste your money on non OEM. And @daveeasa harness is a piece of art. True plug and play. That was the easiest part of the whole install. If everybody was as dedicated and professional in their products as Dave this would be a better place. I appreciate professionalism and someone who takes pride in their work.

 

Do they make oem headlights with amber drls? I couldn’t seem to find an option for them.

 

No. At one point MESO was looking into acrylic for that but nothing has come of that to date. The only viable options are replacing the emitters (hard) or going with the morimoto headlights (poor build quality and lack of uplight but they do have massive output and amber DRL).

 

Yea def don’t want those. I’ll just take the sequential ambers in the oem ones. I’ll need a harness from you sir!

 

And I realize we all have our tastes and preferences but it really seems that most vehicles, especially new / EV, have gone white for DRL. Another “nice” aspect to white DRL is that it works fairly well for super slow driving in parking lots where you don’t want to blast other people with low beams (move stalk to parking lights until exiting the lot). I tend to do this whenever I’m facing into a restaurant with glass windows or at a residence with windows early / late as a courtesy to others. I also sometimes go to parking lights on my neighborhood streets which aren’t well lit when approaching the neighborhood group of pre-dawn walkers. Since I know these streets well, I’d rather be courteous to my fellow pedestrians than illuminate the roadway and mess with their night vision. The OEM LED DRL’s have enough output to make me feel perfectly safe at speeds below 5mph on roads I know well.

I’m looking into getting my 2017 trd sport DCLB a set of OEM trd pro headlights. According to sparksparts they say they won’t fit my truck. Is this accurate or straight BS?

 

They bolt up fine. You’ll need to adapt the connectors.

I just placed my order for my harness, now I just got to find some oem led headlights. I imagine this harness will work with the oem pro leds and the non pro oem leds?

 

@Aj2017TrdSprt What part numbers for the headlight assemblies? I just started looking into this for my 2018 sport and found it a little overwhelming to say the least. Keep us posted on the project if you can. Thanks

 

Part numbers in my DIY thread linked above. Pro and non pro are exactly the same other than cosmetics. Pro is black w badging while non pro has chrome but no badging.

 

Are these the headlamps most people are interested in (LED with black housing)? Price seems too good. Maybe I don’t have the part correct or seller isn’t as widely known?
