People here say, "Well back in 2002 Toyota replaced my frame so they will stand by the truck" although it is 22 years later and it's not at all the same company it was then.

Such a shame really. I had my first close look at a Colorado ZR2 the other day, such a nice looking truck.

Well, sort of. I'm a contractor. I pick up cigarette butts and scrape gum where the cars pull up to place their orders.

Actually, I shouldn't jobs about jobs. It's getting nasty out there. It could potentially get a whole unfathomable shit-ton worse, too.

For additional reference, last year the Colorado engine upgrade (260 to 310) was $1300 and that only got you the 391 tq version unless you went with the ZR2. This year the 430tq engine is only $1050 more. You also lose 2mpg to get the extra power.

As close to base TRD OR as I can get. I'll probably spring for the JBL if it does not add too much, and if it sounds good. An aftermarket system is probably a pain to DIY. But yeah, I've had my current Taco for 14 years, I'll spend a little more to get the one I want for the next one.

Base OR with a couple options is my ideal I think. I really think the larger HU is a requirement for me unfortunately. The small one kills me.

I'm somewhat picky about audio. I think the base system sounds decent, but the JBL feels worth the upgrade. It was punchier (not in an over the top way) and definitely sounded more crisp.

I thought I'd prefer the small screen, but after using/seeing in person the 14 IN just seems to fit. Perhaps the worst part of the base HU is the tiny volume knob that feels cheap, the upgraded center knob is way better as it actually feels quality.

That is good news, what distributor region is that?

    There's a 2024 Taco that's marked down $2500?

No matter how you slice the apple, a marked-down 2024 at this point in the game is telling.

If I were in the market (luckily I'm not) an SR5 would probably be the only one I would consider, I like the smaller screen and just...less. Unless I happened to find an OR with a $10k mark down.
Either way, we all have different wants, and thats a good thing.

You’re basically looking for my truck. Base OR with Audio upgrade, mudguards and heated seats if possible. It’s been easy to find them. Finding a dealer that is willing though is a whole different experience. I’m like 0/6 on finding a dealer that would sell to a Californian.
