    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly a 1998 SR5 PU, 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
You are not kidding, there are a lot of complaints from people that think all Tacomas are bad because “so many” have certain issues, but they don’t take into account the percentage that really have the issue compared to how many trucks are out there. TW tends to collect people that have those complaints - it gives them a place to air it and to seek help so it just seems that there’s a lot.

So where do I lodge my complaint that the sky is gray? Is it because of all the people complaining that it was all blue? :annoyed:

Love my 2022 Sport in wind chill pearl.
    Scoop is NOT blinding.
Bought the truck in the middle of the post-C shortage for less than invoice price.
Having factory LED headlights, Cross path detection, 4WD and NO sunroof/leather (GA sun kills sunroof seals and makes leather seats unusable, I used to have a Solara) were my absolute non-negotiables. Got all that, plus the 360 degree cameras. Love them and use them every day on the farm.
Had a 2005 DC TRD OR, and used locker 3 times in 5 years while hiking, fishing and hunting in Alaska. 360 cameras and cross path detection are so much more useful to me than a locker.

For some folks on here “off roading” means driving down a dirt road/FSR.

To me off-road is when you are in 4LO crawling over obstacles with wheels up in the air.

I wish I had the locker but so far haven’t needed it. TC seems to work quite well for me.

There’s a reason why only Pro’s and Sports have scoops :notsure:

The great thing about Toyota trucks is they’re all so awesome to customize no matter what trim. I’m happy with my SR. It’s been fun making it unique in my own way..the options are limitless…

I love my 2019 Sport access cab 6' bed manual, it still puts a grin on my face every time I get in. A couple of things I wish were different: that hood scoop might look cool and all, but it obscures part of the road right in front when I'm 4-wheeling; no place to put a second battery under the hood on the passenger side near the firewall due to a brake pressure regulator thingy; wishing I had gotten the dual cab sometimes when I have to carry more than one other person that isn't a kid. Otherwise, slapped on new suspension and a tune and it's an awesome truck.

All that matters is that you enjoy your ride!
I couldn’t not look back at any of my tacos! Good trucks and good looking also!
My first rig was a AC 08 base manual everything.
    Had a 12 TXpro.
    Now my 18 OR.
    I’ve enjoyed them all.

Love my 2023 lunar rock sport. I bought it because it was the only taco on the lot. I didn’t even care what color or if it had a scoop but looking back I lucked out. I drive forest service roads so I don’t have a use for a locker anyway. I do like being able to store my sunglasses above my head though.

Haha I like my OR having overhead switches!
Even though I hardly ever use them!
