Around $17k before tax and such. Figured it'll potentially last me the rest of my life if I maintain it well.

    Congrats Drew!

Reminds me of a story I heard about Sikorsky. After doing something (probably a coating or something) they had to dip the blades in water. They did this with giant, tall water tanks. They kept the water fresh in these tanks by hiring Koi fish to swim around cleaning the insides of the tanks.

Excited for you, looks like an awesome setup that will definitely last a very long time in your hands with the proper maintenance.

Quad has been a blast to have already as well. Got a few short rides around the property and I know it’s going to be great to have when the weather turns. As always, great dealing with you and appreciate the flexibility. Enjoy your new tractor!

Thanks! I'm excited to get it. They're swapping the bucket to the SSQA one (they mixed that up) and loading the tires today.

    I'm glad the quad's been good - it's a fun machine!

Brought the family to nashoba for tubing last night, obviously super low expectations. There was no snow,,, the lanes were strait ice! Fastest conditions ever and we’ve been going 10+ years. Highly recommend!

I got the tractor and I love it, but my shed is not practical for it. It's just too heavy. I tried it without the loader and it still makes me nervous - I can literally see the floor bowing slightly when the tires are going between joists. They're spaced too far apart. I'm not doing it again because I think I'll start causing damage. Adding joists to properly support the weight is certainly possible, but even then with the size of the machine it makes it so the shed is just a tractor house - no real room for anything else. I'm not sure how much value there really is in that.

Not sure what I'm going to do about that...I'm partially tempted to just eliminate the shed and park the tractor in the garage like I always did in the past. I'd take a heck of a loss doing that, though.

Show us some pictures of your current set-up/lay-out. Ideas are easy and cheap for us. We can make all kinds of suggestions! And let me be the first to offer you a place to store it for free! It will be a bit of a commute but you can't beat the price!

Double or triple up on the plywood flooring. 3/4” T&G at least.

I'll try to grab some pictures later. It's a Tuff Shed - really nice little building, but the flooring isn't typical. It's galvanized steel joists that I think are 18" (maybe 24) on center with this 3/4" flooring on top of it: https://lpcorp.com/products/outdoor-living/products/flooring

The joists feel super solid and once the machine is inside, the rear tires, front tires, and loader all happen to rest almost perfectly on joists. It's driving it in that's scary because you can see there isn't enough support between the joists.

At 8x16, it's arguably too big to keep exclusively for storage. But, with the tractor in it, it's really only useful for that - it's tight with the push mower and such. So, the footprint isn't ideal no matter what I do. Of course, I bought it without ever thinking I'd put a subcompact tractor in it and the potential issue didn't occur to me until I tried it.

I have a dinky little shed, sitting on a slab. No idea what your code says, but might be worth a look at doing a slab?

Otherwise a carport might work, too?

#TractorProblems - a ride on mower would be overkill for my plot, let alone a tractor

I would need to basically rebuild the shed to put it on a slab without its flooring system. I do have a 16x16 slab out back for my pergola. I thought about moving it to there but I would rather not get rid of the pergola and it's more than I really want to get into.

The tractor may go in the garage and I may try to figure out ways to use the shed for storage to free up other garage space. Though really, there isn't much to move in the first place.

The way I got 2 kids atvs to fit was shelving to remove everything possible off the floor. Then I used hooks to hang things like the adult bicycles and my kids power wheel. Still fit my air compressor, lawn mower, snowblower, spraying cart, and car jack. Actually feel like I've got more room now than I did before. Would still like a larger shed but at least for now it works.

Thinking through it, my garage shelving is kind of dumb and I want to redo it. It was all there from the previous owner. If I did that, I could easily move the small amount of stuff that's in the shed into the garage and barely notice. Then the tractor takes up one bay and my fiancee's CX-5 takes up the other. Done.
