    There is some strong accents in NC down by the coast - I had a boating instructor from round that way, I was the only person in the class that could understand him. It is almost like some creole type shit..

    Not quite - it is more like a stronger SC Lowcountry accent with more drawl..
    It is not from people on the outer banks but from people from the low marsh lands in the east part of the state..
    My boating instructor was from Mattamuskeet NWR

    I can hear it when people talk - I ran into this dude at my smashburger place and I could tell he was from a little bit east of Raleigh because I could hear the accent but it wasn't so strong ... I made some jokes, we all laughed
