I have a 2013 tacoma 4x4 v6 base with 4.10’s from factory I was wondering with the 37 12 17 super swampers. Should I get 4.88 because I want to keep my top end atleast 90 or so. Or if I should get 5.29 for pulling power like hauling my four wheeler around and just pulling the 37’s better. What might be my top speed on the 5.29’s vs 4.88’s? And what brand gears (I don’t have an E locker) are best?

Haha & you’re gonna do 90 in that. Going for Darwin award I see.

btw, you do not have factory 4.10 gears in a V6. They’re 3.73 unless someone already screwed with those poor diffs

Yea I have jba uppers with a 2 inch ball joint spacer (may or may not be safe) just had an alignment Tuesday and it’s within spec alignment cams are just about centered so there was plenty of room for adjustment as for the tie rods I don’t know how many threads are left…. @BabyBilly

Automatic I saw somewhere on these threads someone said that these Tacomas didn’t come with 4.10’s either the v6 wethere it was manual or auto but that’s not true because mine did from factory

How did you verify that you have 4.10s?

I’ve done burnouts with 33’s 35’s and the 37’s obviously one wheel peel but not saying it’s safe but I’ve had it to the floor for about a minute and a half and got it to 107 judging by the speed app and radar detector said just trying to keep 90mph atleast to keep up with other cars on the interstate

Only the 6 lug inline 4's have 4.10 every other 6 lug v6 has 3.73 gearing.

You don't put 37's on a 2nd gen to keep up with traffic or to haul toys.
