South OC Shop Recommendations

Hey all, recently moved from SD up to South OC. I used to have SD Truck Shop nearby to take my truck to for routine work. I'm talking basic diagnostics, brake work, inspections, fluid change, etc, on a very far from stock truck.

Anyone have a rec for a good Toyota offroad truck maintenance shop in South OC?

 

Welcome to the area! I’ll be interested to see what people suggest. I’m in the market for a brake upgrade and would like a shop that has experience.

 

If you want quality work for less, In regional forums, you’ll find several highly qualified recommended forum members who does great work.

 

Aren’t we in the regional thread here?

 

I think he's implying simply that answers to my request will likely be in the form of forum member recommendations, rather than shop recommendations. However, to be clear, I am looking more for full service shops, rather than people to do highly specific tasks.

Japanese Car Specialties in Mission Viejo was a popular shop from toyota-4runner.org although I haven't had the chance to use them so just going on what other people have said.

A bit more north though in Cypress I've used the Toy Shop. I forget his name, but he was a toyota mechanic for many years and will pretty much do everything to toyota spec while using OEM parts but much cheaper than a dealership. It's been about 5 years though since I've been last as I have been trying to learn to do everything myself, so ymmv.
