Because it’s an explosive and the bunker location there is farther away from any work or workers there than it could be at any of the other sites? I had to work today so I’ll be catching up on things tonight. There was a backup closure tomorrow so maybe SF S28 then? I could understand them installing FTS at the launch site but if it’s windy or inclement doing it in the bays instead.

Wrong thread. You need the conspiracy theories one.

Once we establish a presence there then we’ll have the cameras on site to image landings other than POV. But with no atmosphere there won’t be any drones buzzing about until we can start making them using thrusters and remotely refuelable.

They mentioned the ability to send back images from the bot lander. Apparently it has some sort of hi-res cam onboard. At least that is what I recall mentioned during the live stream. It's here in case you want to watch it.

Yes but that’s POV unlike the drone or telephoto shots of Starship launches taken from various angles and distances. You need a separate vehicle for that like they used for the DART mission.

IM CEO says it landed sideways....
    IMG_6874.jpg
    Some highlights:
    • Explained one of the landing pads most likely got hooked on a bolder and it’s horizontal motion tipped it over. They think it could be resting on another rock, it could be on a slope or the legs could be in a depression.
    • Amazing levels of openness…. I recommend watching this presser if you didn’t see it live.
    • The delay in landing was cause by an extra orbit to upload the navigation patch!
    • LRO to attempt to ascertain location this weekend!
    • 9-10 days anticipated lifespan for IM-1 ‘in any configuration (orientation)’:pout:

It seems like somebody should be doing some ai controlled practice landings blind on uneven terrain. Otherwise it’s just random luck what you land on.
