It amazes me how many people were standing right next to the accident. I didn't see anyone around but apparently there were a bunch of people that saw it happen fist hand. The world is such a crazy place lol

    Of course it would.
I've seen worse frontal impacts in the parking lot at Walmart.

Yes it did, there is a full size Dodge in the ditch. The kid borrowed someone's truck without asking, then fishtailed right in to me. He popped out of the truck that flipped three times and was yelling, "Tell my Mom I wasn't drunk". Ahhhh, kids these days

Airbag sensors take into consideration the angle of impact and that may have been why the front bags didn't blow.

@Northerntaco69 There seems to be a lot of flak about the word choice "head on" with the rock wall. I'm only trying to aid and clarify here, so please don't get upset or think that I'm trying to derail.

You said you guys hit ice, lost control, hit the wall head on, then rolled. Right?

Was it something like this? Ignore the crossing lanes and all that. This is purely for direction of momentum and sequence of events.

Driving, hit the ice, turned sideways into a rock wall beside the road with the front of the truck and then, because the momentum was still in the direction of travel that was previously established on road, rolled the truck?

    upload_2024-2-24_5-55-39.png

If that's how it played out, that is why you are getting flak about saying a 75 MPH head on will a wall. A head on would be like this, and it would be almost impossible to roll the truck afterward. It would also be far more damage to the front crumple zone than what is shown in your pics.

    upload_2024-2-24_6-0-48.png

No one is saying the front of the truck wasn't the first thing to hit, or that it didn't hit the rock wall, but the term head on isn't accurate if momentum was not fully, or even mostly, in the direction the truck was pointing.

Yeah, just trying to clarify it because there's already been a bunch of back and forth about it. Trying to prevent the drama by explaining the head on part. Words have meanings and they matter if you want to be properly understood, and all that jazz. :p

Off topic, what is that solid line lane you drew on?

On topic, why is there a wall in the middle of the road? /s

Random road I found in google maps. Can't guarantee I'm right, but that solid like would mean the northbound traffic cannot pass, but the southbound has two lanes and passing is allowed.

Don’t worry. We’ll find the source of OP’s leak.

Maybe *someone* in TW can direct the OP to a good and discrete source of night-time adult-incontinence garments ... from personal experience.
