Trd OR, Sport, Limited, SR5...literally all the same shit with different options

Btw I feel like the Sport and OR are the most owned models on TW

If it was the 3.5 the meme would say "and the reliability of a......." lol

    Totally!

Where I'm at the Sport is by far the most popular 3rd gen on the roads

I bought an SR5 cause I needed a 6ft bed and didn't want 4 doors and I knew I was gunna slowly mod it out for weekend overlanding and moose hunting

Equipping the pickup with slightly larger 17-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension, LED daytime running lights, a gray grille, and a hood scoop. The addition of dual-zone climate control makes the interior more comfortable, while the 120-volt deck-mounted power outlet means you can easily charge your devices. There is a wireless charging pad and a leather-trimmed shift lever as well. It also gains the items specific to the SR5 V6, such as push-button start (automatic only) and a tow hitch. Plus color matched fender flares and rear bumper caps. This is from Car Buzz for 2023.

Have an SR ACLB, modded my last truck, this one I am leaving stock. The lowly SR has more options on it than I use or need. Wanted the utility package with those useless jump seats removed, but couldn’t get it that with the V6. Wanted a manual but would have to buy the Sport to get a ACLB.

of course that ^^^ is just humble bragging about lack of options, so no different than the pissing contest about how much the other trims have. Lol!

Why do people say ACLB? It's kind of redundant

If I was still young and willing to mod no sense in paying for stuff you’re gonna replace anyway. I’m old now and would rather spend time with the grandkids.
Like I said I bought a OR because I liked it. Did I need it NO do I need a divers watch in case it gets wet doing dish’s NO!
    Get what you like/need!
I like the black wheel flares and needed 4 full doors grandkids and dog.
A long bed crew cab won’t fit in my garage.
And it’s different from most around here!
Don’t really like having something that looks like every other one. But I don’t want be a a hole and over do it.
Just clean and sharp I get a lot of people saying it’s a nice looking truck!

I had intended to buy an SR5, but couldn't find any in the colors or configuration that I wanted in my area (Black, AC, 4x4), so I ended up with a TRD-OR. Honestly, I don't dislike the Sport, but I don't like the fake hood scoop. And that's kind of the big difference between the SR5 and the Sport for me (I know there are a couple of other things). So if I was going to spend more, I figured the better value was the Off Road, as at least the extra money would be spent on the locker and crawl control (which I've only actually used getting up my driveway on ice).

All that said... I don't really care what anyone else drives as long as you love your truck!

My wife would so make that happen in her forester. She complained last winter it was making funny sounds. I went to look and see front air damm packed solid with snow. I jack it up underneath totally packed with snow. She was driving thru the snow banks where she worked. She said there wasn’t any parking so she made her own spot.

Same here she’s gotta be pressing one pedal or the other. Then she wonders why her car is hard on brakes.
I know I must have made dents in her passenger floor board!
