got a full wash and wax done before I drove to Cincinnati. 538 miles and averaged 22.2mpg over the whole trip. Not bad for an all stock 4x4 truck. It definitely likes the lower gears once you get into the hills though.

 

Man, that drive sucks. I do it twice a year. I usually go up to Columbus or Toledo (Went to Ohio State) and I hate going back every time lol. But, my buddies like to drink, and I can’t say no to a good time with some old friends.

 

It's one of those things. I make that trip often as well. I always get the best mpg thru the mountains.

I experience the same running my 5.7 Tundra thru those hills.

 

I took my 5.7 tundra to the big Tennessee Tundra meet years ago… lift, tuner, and 35s got me maybe 14mpg. I really loved my Crewmax but it had a terrible drinking problem. Wife’s sequoia 5.7 does a lot better at 16mpg

 

13.5 everywhere. 17 running thru the mountains. It sucks, but so does my Tacoma. I see 18 at best .

 

yea I make that run quite a few times and year too . Have family in Eastgate/ Cincinnati

 

The worst is when Cincinnati is only the halfway mark. Went to Illinois last thanksgiving to visit my wife’s family, it might turn into a yearly tradition.

 

Yea I was there last year too for my son's Naval graduation. That was a long drive

 

A nice tune could help that out!

How do you like the RTIC cooler?

 

I had a yeti get stolen out the back of my truck. Another, and this is also on me, took a tumble out the back of the truck one crazy night on a drive home. So, I said I’m done paying yeti money.

Got the Rtic a few years ago, maybe four or so, and it’s been one tough SOB.

Floated the river with it a few times, put a hot spatula on the top while cooking, and it left a melt mark on it. Still holds ice for a few days. Feet have fallen off a few times, prob because of the river, and I just use silicone and put new feet on. It is worth the money 10x. lol
