Good morning all. Been a whirlwind of a week or more. Back at the home-20 (CB lingo) after several days in Missouri at the new company HQ. Great week...brain drained for sure. Got home last night hit the rack and woke up 10 hours later. Took a quick walk here in the 727 and enjoying this 58* morning. Happy coffee! :hattip:

Tom let the younger guy go up on the ladder. I spent a lot of time up on ladders before I retired till I got a helper who wasn't afraid of heights. I many times parked my service truck against the ladder in the winter to keep it from sliding out. Be safe.

OUCH! That sounds awful! Poor little lady.
I’ve broken a lot of bones…fingers, ribs, wrist, collar, bones, leg…they all hurt. Luckily none ever bad enough to need metal and screws! No clue what that’s like. Best of luck!
More crazy weather as in red flag days for the next three. How can this be with all the rain and snow we’ve had? Crazy!
I’m going to sneak outside today even if we have high winds and 60*! May have to tie a few things done. Busy busy! Keeps me out of trouble…LOL!
Hoping everyone has at the least a good day and at the best an outstanding day! We can’t count on all that much more opportunities, so make the most of it!

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! I think it's Saturday... wife is doing better with some better pain meds that the Ortho prescribed, wrapped her arm in plastic and she took a shower. I would not say "comfortable", but better. The Ortho said the surgery is "easy-peasy", and she'll be in and out in a couple hours when we get to it. I'll be glad to get my rib back, because doing nothing is a pain!

Thanks for all the kind thoughts folks; I will pass them on right now.

Whoohoo it’s Saturday! What a week it’s been at work. The AT&T outage rocked my world. I run a network visibility platform for 3G and 4G signaling and when AT&T cratered all their subs starting attaching to our customers’ networks and the fun began. Almost instant 10x increase in signaling data exposed a bandwidth limitation in one of our backhaul facilities. My phone blew up with pleas for help from my on-call engineer at 5:30 AM and I spent most of the day fighting fires with him. We followed that up with an overnight firewall migration and about the time that finished up the normal cries for help from development and QA started. I just ran out of gas yesterday afternoon, logged off work, silenced my phone. Wound up working from 6 to 10 this morning catching up on all the crap I ignored on Friday or just couldn’t get to earlier in the week. I went out around 11 today to start raking leaves. I managed to fill three cans on about 45 minutes and stopped there because the county won’t pick up bagged yard waste anymore. Looking forward to a quiet afternoon and catching a nap here shortly.

One of the project managers at work asked me when I was going to retire and I told her at least 5 years from now when my wife is eligible for Medicare. She said the change in inertia after being on the go day and night for the last 25 years to suddenly having nothing to do all day would kill me. I said I’m willing to take that chance.

If you don't have anything to do all day when you've retired, you're doing it wrong. I couldn't wait to retire so I could get to with all the stuff I wanted to do.

I start every morning with nothing to do and by the evening, I am only half done.. Do not know how I found time to work. The only regret I have about retiring is why I waited so long.

LOL... Yes, when I retired I had nothing to do too... and every evening I was only half done.

That's when you know you're doing retirement right.
