Vled triton switchbacks 2021 sr5 with holagan install help

I’m trying to install vled triton switchbacks and it’s not working correctly. Drl are amber not white and they are off when headlight are on. Blinkers work but just blink amber. Anyone install these light that can help?

 

are you sure you got the right product?

i would test/verify functionality of the bulb outside of the vehicle with a 12v battery first.

Are you using these for front turns? And you have an SR5, right?

You need the HDRL controllers (or whatever they are calling them now). It kind of does the same thing my headlight harnesses do (V1 was actually using them). I have an email from VLED, let me look it up and see what you need. I think I could make up something too. I know I have the HDRL controllers (some wouldn’t work for what I used them for, hence the V2 headlight harness…) and we can get around a bulb adapter easy enough.

There’s a wire I’m not sure what it does. I know the one off the bulb is a dimming option not sure what this one does

 

I’m not 100% sure what that wire does. It may drive the dimming function. They have changed a few things since I did mine. I know the wire on the LED itself is for the dimming function, but it used to hook to the headlight itself. We could try running that off the parking light, as long as bright takes priority over dim, it would work. If not, we just make a tap for the low beams, easy enough. I am not 100% sure that I have a mating connector for that dimmer wire though, so we might just end up splicing that?

 

They sent me splicing wires

 

Two for the dimming function and 2 for the wire I don’t know what it does.

 

Do those connect to the little wire hanging from the LED itself?

 

It connects to the little wire coming off the led and to the little wire on the plug. I think the little wire on the led is the dimming function.

I thought the sr headlights had amber lenses in the turn spot? Guess I thought wrong.

 

No, just amber bulbs. They don’t have the little guard-slot-things either (at least the SR doesn’t, the SR might?).
