    Why I test:
    Here are six different stains.
Sure, color is important but most people want a dark or light brown grey reddish or whitish when it comes to stain. Take a look at the choices numbered 1, 2 and 3. There really is not much difference in color right? But zoom in on the circled areas...when I just tested I did not pick an area or a color of this maple test block. It just happened. But in the circle notice the dark and light features. It's the same block of maple and only difference is color of stain, but notice how the "GO" sample really looks blotchy compared to the "WO" or "SW" sample. So, to get a bit better uniformity of color, I will go with 1 or 2. Not 3. Stain has a habit of acting different depending on wood species. I have never used "WO" but it looks pretty good. For the record, my wife lets me pick because I do silly stuff like this haha.
Pretty amazing how one color stain picks up different highlights of the wood than another color. Here's the test:

This is one block of maple that is identical sanded and prepared.

Sweet!!!!! My older two kids just came home from a birthday party and my daughter knew exactly where it had been stashed.

Picked up this sweet tool box from a garage sale down the street. I’ll be modifying this to fit over my 6” mag chuck on my surface grinder so I can run flood coolant.

I have a Milwaukee and an Irwin. Both kink right around 12 feet.

Cruising the back country today from San Jose to La Fortuna. Lots of nice views. I don't take many pictures.

I’ve been cutting and hanging ceiling planks in the spare bedroom. Using two tape measures and even though one is bright yellow and the other bright green I keep losing them.

try keeping one in the room and one outside at the saw because I either leave it outside or inside.

Is it a ‘tape’ or ‘tape measure’? Back in the day, we’d just call it a tape. Might be a New England thing :notsure:

Yeah, I know I brought this up before but it seemed timely to do it again.

Good morning everyone :hattip: I hope you have a pleasant Sunday.

I tried that, thought the mirror was dirty, cleaned it, tried again, nothing hot, just a mess.
