That was my plan all along. I was there as a gopher and technical consultant. ;) My nephew is up the ladder and my son is holding the ladder in the pic below.

I had not seen the movie in quite a while and had forgotten how decent a movie it was back in the day. I do enjoy the B&W movies.

    Looks really good.

Good Sunday morning. Went to bed sort of early, 10pm and woke at 6am. Breakfast and off to the gym. Son would like pork chops for dinner so pork chops will be what's for dinner tonight. Chicken came out great yesterday.

@95SLE I'm glad you were there for the tech support. The funnest time I had on a ladder was when I had to set up on/in the back of my 18' svs truck to replace a piece of glass because my 24' ladder was to short. It was a closed access dormer and I had to break the rest of the glass out. So I couldn't have a spotter because it rained down on anything below. Hind sight I should have rented a man lift. But the guy was having all kinds of problems with the job cost as it was. $45 for the glass and 350 labor the man lift would have been around 500 more for the rental so I don't know what the company would have charged for that. I was in and out in 40 minutes. No clean up because that was extra he didn't want to pay for

I have no doubt I could keep busy, I would love to do resto-mods on old Toyota pickups and 1st gen Tacomas. That’s mainly why I am lobbying for a 3 car garage in our next house. Guaranteed there will be a project truck on jackstands in the 3rd bay. I’ve seen so many 1st gens that I would take on in a minute if I had the space.

Today is our big family “Soupfest”!
Once a year, my wife invites all of her family and a few others over for soup during the cold months. She makes soup, breads, desserts, and there’s always a fun family game. Going to be a great day!

What a fine day again today! 62* high, but gusts to 24 mph. There was a brush fire north of us yesterday. Those are so scary when we have high winds! Hard to believe the fire danger is so high. My back yard is like a wet sponge!
Get your vitamin D today. A great day for it!
Make today count retirees even if it is the day of rest!

Hey Tom, if I show up on your doorstep with the loaf of home made sourdough Dark Rye (with Caraway) I pulled from the oven last night, can I dip into some soup? ;)

I’ve seen a few with “minor” accident damage that really just need radiator supports, grill, bumpers and maybe a fender that would be a blast to fix. There was a low mileage 4WD up in Jacksonville a few months ago that had been rolled, I figure I could pick up a 5-lug cheap and do a body swap. I’m sure to be on a first-name basis with the guys at the local salvage yards.
