Since you're going to need to have someone do fabwork to install the DMZ kit, might as well save the money and just have them build some mounts for the cans for a lot less. Here are what I used for strike pads:

I'll keep that in mind for sure.

Stellar built in Sacramento will end up doing all the fab work for my truck. Even though I have to travel 2 hours, I'm fine with having professionals do what they know how to do lol

What stroke bumpstops do you all run? Sorry for asking all these questions all the time, I'm wanting to learn, along with doing shit right the first time

All you need are 2x2 bumps

3 inch stroke with +/-100psi. 3" stroke at a lower pressure feels better than a 2" stroke at "standard" or higher pressures.

If you lower the pressure of the 2 inch bump to lessen the harshness you end up blowing through the bumps travel and still end up bottoming out hard, to me the 3inch stroke paired with the dmz sua is cherry,

Get 4”. You can always shorten them if you want.

Fitting a 4" bumpstop under the bed without cutting means he'll have to mount them further out or lower:

Can’t wait to see some long Travel with the New Portals. Tacoma Beast put some on his rig a few months ago but will probably need to drop all the overland gear. He popped 39inch wheels on there.

Or just do this. I’d rather have to shorten a bump than lengthen it…..

If reliability was proven how much would you spend to fit 37 and a re-gear off a stock Taco? Your easily half way to 20k

True, but you are also making the truck a bit wider with them. 3.5” per side if I recall correctly. So add that to your extra width from an LT kit and you got a rig pushing 100” track width.

That’s 20k plus new tires, new wheels, and likely new suspension. Rather upgrade the steering setup too moving tires that big. At that point you are moving toward 30k.

That is no joke. Stay mid travel if you want portals. I believe some are upwards of 4.5”.

Can just add more oil on a 2x2 with lower psi to make the initial hit softer and not blow through travel, just stiffens up a little faster.

I mean he has a really nice build. But 91” is enough for me.
