HushMat only has foil and rubber butyl. SoundSkin has a foam layer in addition to the foil and rubber butyl.

 

same! i replaced mine around the same time it was one of the biggest pains i've ever done on this truck. took me and a buddy 90 mins out of our 30 min lunch break at work.

I got it to work, I did send the box back as a return, they are gonna love the surprise I left them lol.

 

we knocked out the whole thing on a Thursday since i was leaving on a road trip the next day. i was his manager at the time and he was compensated fairly with on-demand burritos for a month.
we worked 90mins straight and i stayed late to catch up.

Tore down my old DAKAR’s, degreased, cleaned up and reassembled with OME’s newer anti-squeak pads. Headed to their new owner tomorrow!

 

Also, replaced my brakes! Last set the rotors glazed but EBC made it right and sent me a new set out.

 

Got it dirty.. sort of.. it came out of hibernation because el jefe wanted to fill the bed with furniture.

 

How heavy is the topper and did you have to install bed stiffeners?

I run RCI engine and transmission skid, with the catalytic converter guards (cat guard are free with the transmission plate right now).

Those are only removed for the transmission skid. Those are basically useless

 

Installed fuse block and breaker for my lights. Still have to clean up some of the wires but much more organized. Thanks to TW and YouTube the install was a breeze. Also bought some edge guard since there were lots of comments on how sharp the edges were on the fuse panel.

 

Tralier tire blew out and I had to be there before they closed so we made it work lol
