Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

I just landed in the lunar world. I found my people this is so awesome. I think I found the last 23 with leather seats from a dealer in Nor cal with 6k miles on it. Unbelievable. Ive been a stalker the last week looking for all the mods I want to do. I found everything that was in my mind, but I didn't have visual pictures of. Thank you all for helping me spend $$$$ I don't have. Let the build out begin.

 

DT does a great job! I love the "retro" look of these FJ beadlocks with the white center. Looks so good!

Here is my Lunar Rock III Gen ... Had a II Gen Tacoma but let it go years ago and decided to get a III Gen last year don't know why i waited so long to get back in one!!! Will be putting on a front bumper on this week !!!

I like my OEM Pro wheels (I think they are the best looking OEM wheels available), but I'd be after SCS Ray 10s if I were looking for alternatives.

- Provided they were available in 16" of course!

 

no spacer they are 16x8 -13 i'm running stock tires for now since i'm deciding on what way i want to lift the truck but for sure ill have to do a Cab Mount Chop when i jump up a size on tires ... But my brother who also have a 3rd Gen tacoma running the same size and offset as i do on 285/75r16 and he on a 3inch lift with Cab Mount Chop and he don't rub at all

Whelp, it looks like I've got a lot to learn. I've been looking for a new (to me) truck for a while. Had Analysis Paralysis for a while going between SUV and Pickup, and Tacoma vs Tundra or another F150.

I finally found this 2022 Lunar Rock DCSB Manual transmission with 42k on it at the dealership we bought our Sienna from a few years ago. It looks well cared for in general, there have been some upgrades done like front and back Vijay bumpers with additional lights. I'm a little confused as to exactly what model it is, I don't thiknk the TRD Off Road should have a hood scoop, but there it is.

I've now done a little looking around, I'm not thrilled about the "Amazon quality" bumpers, but given that it will be a while before I can start spending money on upgrades, I'm happy with what I got. Stealership still has the truck, I pick it up on Friday after detailing. It's certified and I went for the additional warranty. It really felt nice rowing a manual transmission again on my test drive.

First add on will be the VIOFO A129 Plus Duo that arrived today. I've been happy with the A119 in my current daily Equinox that will be 'sold' to our 18 year old.

Looks to me like TRD-Pro. Off-Road doesn’t get a hood scoop, and Sport doesn’t get blacked out fender flares/hood scoop. Could be aftermarket but those are both things most people don’t add themselves (From what I see). Also would be a safe bet to say that if it has a rear locker, located on the ceiling above the media screen, it’s a Pro (Though Off-Road also gets this, the hood scoop eliminates it).

 

It would need to be a '21 to be an LR pro...

The black scoop is consilstent with it, but I think I see the standard led and not the pro version.

I see decals on the bed ' so likely an off road with some adds...
