So here it is. The start to my build thread.

    Goals:
    - JD Fab LT kit
    - Spring under rear
    - Fiberglass front
    - Bed cage
    - Cab cage
    - Engine cage
    - Keep the bed, and the camper
    - Have something that I can throw all my gear in and go have fun with my family and friends in the desert

This isn't going to be an insane build. No plans on jumping the truck 20 feet in the air or pound whoops at 60. I just want something that is going to be comfortable and safe for my family to go enjoy the beautiful socal desert.

I want to build my own truck and learn everything that is associated with the process. That being said I will have a ton of questions and I appreciate everyone who has helped me out on this forum already and anyone who helps in the future.

I am also in school and working full time. So it will be slow going for the start, but once I graduate in April things should pick up because I will have a lot more time on my hands.

First order of business was to move the battery. I always hated the stock battery mounting and location. The thin sheet metal mounting on the the fender for first gen taocmas is a design flaw in my option. I got the battery mounted yesterday it only took slamming the hood on my dad hand and me breaking my toe (maybe me taking this on is a bad idea). I am excited to start the wiring tomorrow as well as wiring in a hard mount rugged radio. I am really hoping to get everything buttoned up by end of the week and make it to Terra Del Sol out in ocotillo this weekend. I am supper happy to keep the cruise control to make those long drives out to the desert easier.
