UI design meetings might be the end of me. How the hell does anyone build a good UI when there’s a bunch of engineers saying “well we don’t have time right now, so we’ll just do this half ass shit…”

He's probably gonna have to cut that, they seize in the control arm bushings sleeve and impacts don't work cause the rubber absorbs the blows.

UI/UX people live a life of stylish compromise and dead ended menus.

True, it's a sign the dev team has a long term plan rather than a huge group of short term goals.

Exactly. I keep hearing the phrase that “this way is the shortest putt”. Drives me nuts, so hard to push a long term view

How easy is it to delete the diff drop kit and go back to stock - any hardware required? I think I'll ask the shop to do this while they replace the coils.

I'm hoping there's not much labor involved to change the coil springs either. This is definitely not something to attempt DIY if you don't know what you're doing, unless you wanna meet the big man.

I've known a few people near me pay as little as $20 for a mechanic to do it

Wait I forget, you need to replace the coils on your currently installed shocks.

So you'll be forced to pay labor on pulling your shocks. That's an easy job but yeah, no tools, no space, and no know-how so you have to bite the bullet

I would've just bought complete coilovers

Yea this was the PO that installed it. I'm just gonna have to eat the cost I guess. Now that the 5100s are on there I might as well keep them.

mecanico especial de craigslist ? :D

$20 per coil is a deal, I think I paid $75/ea last time I needed to have it done but he also removed/installed the assembly from the truck at that price

    Pues claro

Those wall-mounted setups are easy money, and a quick job for those shops

Specifically recall one member who's coilovers I installed for him tell me he paid that much. Of course he added a tip too

I was quoted around $400 in labor to replace the leaf springs, which is kinda annoying but there's a but more involved in that I guess.

    That sounds reasonable.

I can see you struggling a lot with a leaf pack replacement.

The bolts being seized could be a show stopper for a driveway replacement. IK you can use an angle grinder, but I wouldn't wanna accidentally nick my frame or something. I also hate doing stuff like that crouched over or on my back. It's sooo much better with a lift.

    same...

$400 is not bad at all.

I'd probably quote half that for friends/family/decent peoples lol
