definitely had them before and they're delicious. We used to live near Mandarin orchards and go-to a festival every year... It's actually the only thing I've wanted to travel back for but winter kinda ruins that idea since it's in November

 

I used to live in Florida - my mom planted every kinda citrus; now I resent having to pay for said citrus!!

 

I'm pushing the clip in but this damn thing isn't popping off like it's supposed to.

 

That sounds like a dream. How far of a drive is Florida in growing season for you? I'd be considering a drive if it were free We used to hang like 30-40lbs of mandarins in our garage and they'll last you a while if you can keep the moldy ones plucked out.... As if they'd last that long lol

I've been planning on finding myself a small Mandarin or kumquat tree to grow this year. I want a greenhouse at some point and if that doesn't happen then I figure I can overwinter it indoors for a few years if needed.

(Unless someone's already tried that and failed...I can take a chance on a $50 failure.)
