Joe usually responds quickly but when I emailed him about the lead times, haven't heard back anything. It wouldn't be as bad if they had updated their website with realistic time frames, so ppl are aware when they order.

    Long lead times are normal.

what’s great is if a shop is honest about it.

My bumper is set for drop off at my house tomorrow morning. He threw in jerry cans, a stainless steal table, and a cheaper shipping rate. My original post was made at a time of much frustration. If a monitor wants to take this tread down they can.

I'm in the same boat right now. Did you eventually get ahold of Joe or did you just get a shipping confirmation?

Everyone has great things to say... so I feel like I just need to wait. I just keep worrying that my order is getting overlooked for whatever reason.

Update: I'm still waiting on my swingout bumper. But have good news for me and a few others that still have orders outstanding.

I finally called the shop and talked to Joe. (Apparently calling is better than emailing them). He has about 25-30 orders in the shop almost ready to ship out.

He explain all the problems they have been having and how he is going to address them. After June/July, they should be manufacturing almost all parts in house (excepting the new latches, I bet); which has been a cause of a lot of delays due to flakey laser cutters, etc. He also explained that he had to step away from the shop last year to focus on his family.. and that's when things started to go south. However, he's back in the shop now and trying to get production back up and moving.

So you are at 5 months wait time. There website still shows 2-3 weeks for some items. It’s a shame shops just can’t be honest

Yeah. Kind of annoying, but I think Joe spends all his time in the shop. He recently hired a person to run the office side of things, so hopefully things will be more up-to-date.

Instagram is one way to get some updates, too.

yeah update yesterday; shipping is sorta their main hold up, freight being the main hold up. hard not to love their product, but up front communication goes far even if its a emailer to all active orders. i got free time if i lived close id just go volunteer for free. (i might have just planned a big road trip to install it myself in their shop parking lot was trying to get my rear bumper before rubicon in a few weeks, i got my fingers crossed that the freight truck will be hopped up on C4 energy drinks and somehow make it from cali - portland OR by this friday.........a guy can dream )

I should have ordered a rear HC bumper a long time ago, these wait times are a bit tough to deal with.

Question: Once the HC bumpers are installed is the ability to mount a spare underneath gone?

Look at where the spare sits relative to the hitch. If you move the hitch, then the tire is vulnerable. If you don't move the hitch, you aren't gaining that much clearance. I think most bumpers don't interfere with the space for the spare, but personally I don't think it's a good idea to keep the spare there unprotected.

I saw on Instagram that a big shipment went out. Haven't seen any tracking info, but hopefully I'll have a new bumper soon.
