The helmet pictured is a Wendy bump with cloud suspension, I have a ballistic sitting on the shelf but haven’t gotten new suspension for it.

the skull crusher is actually pretty nice.

Ive only used a pvs14 mounted to my opscore helmet on cases and doing night work. Never had the opportunity to use dual tubes,I can only guess they're 100times better than a single monocular as far as depth perception goes? i'll be the first to say being on a boat with the pvs14 fucking sucked still better than no NV though lol

I set of good gear now is around 8k for dual tubes
    So it’s attainable

my RNVG’s intensifiers came out of a GPNVG. 2376+fom, <0.1 SNR. Couple buddies have some factory new PVS31’s from L3 with specs higher than 2900 fom and my tubes are clearer.

GP18’s and Anvis10 are pretty cool too. And Ecoti’s.

I need a raise LOL I need to nerd out on NODs and research more about the intensifiers etc.

@Pittsy you seem like the perfect person to ask, I need a recommendation for a quality gen3 whitephospor pvs14, I was literally just going to buy what TREX has on his site but if there are better options I'm open to broadening my knowledge base. As much as I'd love dual tubes im not exactly looking to spend 10k lol cant have a Rifle/NOD setup that's worth more than my tacoma.

A 2000+ fom WP PVS14 should cost no more than 3k. Trex is cool though.

personally I’d rather have a set of green duals than white mono. There’s no performance benefit from WP vs GP. WP does help keep you awake though. That being said, WP tubes generally have higher specs than GP tubes.

also, only buy L3 intensifiers. If it’s not L3, I don’t want it.

I have a set of unfilmed around 2700, and a set of photonis at 2500. L3 let's you see better in pitch black, and the photo is is better for changing lighting conditions with an almost 0 halo. They both have their advantages and both are legit lol.

I just had the photonis built in the new articulating ruggedized housing that came out last year very clean! I also like to shoot in the dark...PXL_20230719_012541033.PORTRAIT.jpg

yeah, it all comes down to specs. Generally speaking, you’ll get the best specs from L3. I’ve heard too many horror stories about other intensifiers. FWIW, my intensifiers have near 0 halo too. Definitely didn’t mean that their tubes aren’t legit, i just personally won’t buy their tubes.

I’ve been really tempted to jump into an ARNVG and swap my intensifiers over.

PVS24 kinda cool. This is a buddies, I haven’t dipped my toes into the long range stuff yet. I have a bolt gun that I haven’t put more than test fire rounds though.

What’s your camping equipment look like? It’s still sort of off season so shouldn’t be too busy really. We are supposed to go out for a little rip at some point this weekend as well with @Sixthelement and a buddy with a TRX.

Yea if the weather is nice. Can just see if the spot where we did the BadLinesGoodTimes Take over is available. Easy to get to for all and plenty of space for whatever

I’m not even sure where that is. This will be my first time driving to cinders.
