I was selling a solid wood gaming table (recessed inner area with a tabletop lid) and guy asked if I would drive an hour 1 way to deliver it, when my listing said 'pick up only'. I told him, I'll cut you a deal, you come here and pick it up, I'll give you $50 off. Dude said no.
Another guy low balls me and asks if I would deliver in the same breath, and when I said no he said 'Of course you won't.' as if I'm the one inconveniencing him.

then a guy said he wants it, then bails 3 TIMES! to pick it up. Finally another guy offers me over what I'm asking and I tell the guy if he doesn't get it by Friday I'm selling it to the other guy for more. Somehow figured his shit out after that and was over the next day to pick it up.

Also had a guy who asked 'does it come with chairs?' Uh did you see chairs in the listing?

I'm so sick of selling stuff on the internet anymore...

Somehow though, I sold off all my stock take off parts off my Tacoma to a guy who drove over an hour to come get them the VERY next day after I listed them. Granted these are all parts with 90k miles so I priced the lot at around $150 (shocks, coilovers, leaf springs, OEM skid, and some other little bits). Now that's the experience I want. He told me he runs a salvage yard and fixes up tacomas to resell so all the parts I sold him would go on those and he'd resell the trucks. Good for him!

I've had zero drama selling my Zero Turn mowers.

I do put in the description, delivery available for a small fee. Seems to be working fine so far.

Buying a project mower can be a bit stressful. Why peeps won't answer their adds, I don't know.

I do know I absolutely hate using the FB messenger. Sneaky, stalking mf'ers.

I used to hold stuff for people, if they told me they were coming I'd hold it until then. Not anymore, I've been suckered too many times. I now tell people I have others interested and I'm not holding anything.

That fiat if it hasn't changed has a nice skid plate that will suck up over a quart of oil before it drips on the garage floor. no worries though they have one of the best records in the industry :rofl::rofl::rofl:

I'd be open to grabbing a beverage sometime with Drew, besides the coffee pot can always be on if anyone is bored and wants to get acclimated to our winters. It would be entertaining.

I have had offers on some of the things I build. A few have been tempting ($1200 for a Cedar side table) but so far, I have not sold anything. I am afraid if I do, it will then become a job.

This piece for the chain was something. Bent a piece of 1/2” square tubing around a pipe then cut it away.

It'd be a dadgum shame if we voted to strike tomorrow and the Crew 8 mission sending a crew and supplies to the Space Station wasn't able to get off the ground....not to mention Boeing Starliner next week....

Here's an example, I had another water leak in the mainline. F'ing thing was only buried about 9" down. About 4 years ago I had another leak about 50 yards from this one and the pipe was almost 3' deep. Luckily I have a great neighbor and he brought a mini-ex home from work on Saturday and helped me dig it out. I'd like to smack the shit out of the guys who laid this line.:smack: There's no rime or reason to how it was laid. This time it cracked at a 45° fitting. Also given the presents of another pressure fitting 18" from this break, previous owners had an issue with this section of line before. All I had on hand was a compression fitting and a section of new pipe. I didn't want to waist an hour going into town to get a 45° elbow, so we dug the pipe back and flexed it to use the compression fitting. I ended up having to fix it twice, because I didn't support it before I turned the water back on and the pressure blew it back apart. So on round two I add some dirt back into the hole to support the new position of the pipe before turning the water back on. That so far is holding.

Too late, already blew it. I'd say I'll get a picture next time but hopefully next time is in December. Or next February.

I keep inviting the family to come up from Georgia. So far no one has made the trip.

My wife keeps contemplating selling her baby blankets instead of giving them away. I asked her of she'd be alright with her hobby becoming a job. She hasn't gone through with it yet but it does still come up in conversation from time to time.

My wife and her mom keep telling me I need to make and sell miniature farm equipment. I tell them they have no idea how much time I have in them. Be hard to live on a $1.00 an hour :anonymous:

Ultimately, she would be looking to cover the cost of materials and make a little. Some people are listing blankets for $800, which is insane. Of course, that doesn't mean they're actually selling any for that.
