This is my next project. Did you buy the vinyl pre-cut or make them yourself? My truck is Cement and black, I don't want the red anymore.

Beauty. I'm going to be totally jammed up when my stock DuraTracs need replaced. Lift? Tire size and manufacturer? If I had to do it today I'd probably go with a quieter tire in 265/75/16 to not effect the gear ratios that much. And maybe a small lift. See what I mean. Probably. Maybe. Balls....

Lots of great looking rigs in this thread and great ideas.

That said, some of you are suffering from rig-disphoria or something - akin to a naturally beautiful woman stuffing her lips with filler to the point she looks like a duck, gluing on ridiculously large eyelashes, injecting her ass with so much saline/fat she looks like she's smuggling a 1967 VW bug in her pants, uselessly long fake finger nails, and covered in every trendy tat from the past 20 years. Find inner peace and leave the truck alone.

    Carry on...

I had a beautiful 1978 Harley-Davidson FXE SuperGlide (electric start only) that being the time and wanting to be a badass, I made some significant changes to the bike. Fast forward 40+ years and I realized what an idiot I was. That bike in stock form would be so tits right now.

    Some stuff
    All this talk about flashlights…
The other day I had a person high beam me from behind, I was going 70 in the fast lane, post rain, passing a truck from Quebec… so I flipped on the reverse lights (a set of each Baja designs, s1 wide and flood. As this guy passes me he shined a spotlight at me and then got in front of me. I laughed, I had to stop that game, he got in front of me I resisted using the oem led highs, and the 30” diode dynamics amber, as well as a nitecore in the console. And then the tactical green laser, which is just mean. I resisted all of that and when we met at the light at the end of the road I proudly showed him my finger.

These are vinyl from TVD in "zinc." The wet application method worked like a charm.

Do you have a link to tho Joying? The one I am finding has the knob lower and I like the placement of this better.

yes sir, I searched for many hours and couldn't find anything. What you need is a 6 pin 3 way switch. This is the one I got here. Basically you just need a switch that allows for a DPST (double pole single throw) which means that both inputs of power are isolated from each other. Some guys use these on boats and you could have a 12v feed and a 24v feed going to the same switch.

I used this site as a reference. They outline how you wire these 6 pin switches. I couldn't really find a DPST switch, so I went with a DPDT (double pole double throw) and then jumped the outputs because the input voltages are the same, and I'm only getting one output to the auxbeam trigger anyways. Note the positives are the only ones going to this switch, you don't even need a ground since the auxbeam is grounded via the large negative cable to the battery.

    Mine's wired up as follows:
one input from keyed power source, I believe I used the wiper motor fuse
one input straight from battery (anytime power)
output to Auxbeam trigger on one and jumped to the other output
    dpdt-on-off-on jpg.jpg

This allows for power to be fed by EITHER the battery OR the keyed ignition source, but since it is an isolated switch, it is unable to back feed the keyed source (which is very bad I assume). I just hid this up under my dash near the OBD port since it's an odd shaped switch, and I don't use it very often to need to put it in a switch area.

Probably good you resisted. You may think you had lots of ammo but you never know about the other guy. There's always someone with more dangerous stuff and way bigger and deadly. I would have saved the finger too.

I left the mounting area and top side powder coated.

I want the aluminum to oxidize.

    I believe it’s a AVS Areo Skin.
Works great no whistle and fits perfect and looks pretty slick.
