I've had guys on range days take a look at my rifle, take it, slap on a dead air can, and just say "have fun", before walking away for a bit.

I know they work at Rainer Arms, so it's the perfect sale's pitch. But it works so well. It'll likely be one of the next major purchases I'll make (after a Decked System for the truck, lift kit, a Lever-Action Rifle, new gaming rig)

 

There was a QC issue with the Sierra 5 when it was released where after a low round count the baffles disintegrated and rendered the can nothing but a tactical maraca.

It took Dead Air over 6 months to figure out how to fix people’s cans with zero communication or updates while people kept waiting and waiting. They just ghosted customers and didn’t return any emails or phone calls. They went as far as censoring and banning people from their social media when they asked anything about the Sierra 5. Tried to sweep the whole problem under the rug instead of admitting they effed up.

Just last week they finally started shipping repaired warrantied cans back to folks but the whole customer service experience (or lack thereof) left a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths.

 

That likely explains why they've been out of stock of everything: Complete shut down to try and fix things and shot themselves in the foot (pun intended) on the customer service side.

Discovery Daddies event: Jan 13th and 14th. Will be there for one or both days (haven't decided, depending on weather) at Lytle Pit. I'll have my camera out as well for picts.

Thoughts on Otter Creek Labs Polonium K? Looking to purchase a can for my SBR, as it would instantaneously deafen me if I had to shoot it w/o ears

 

Any public lands in the Covington/Maple Valley area that i can go shooting at?

 

There is the Cascade Range out towards Ravensdale and also the Black Diamond Gun Club. I don't know of any public land where you can shoot in the area, but I do hear quite a few gunshots from my house between Maple Valley and Black Diamond.

 

I’ve got one in jail at 180 days. Fingers crossed it gets paroled any day now. Last can took 210 days.

I submitted two for a customer on 2/24/2024….. they came back today approved (2/28/2024). Yeah, 4 days. FOUR FREAKING DAYS! (eForm Individual)
